I listen to audiobooks while I drive my truck every day. Most end up being just background noise until I realize theres no point in listening and change books. This book hasn't lost my attention at all and is a great listen. It's making my days go by quick. Very good book 👍
As a long distance driver this series is a god send. Never drove so long without being tired. It just keeps me gripped and alert,wanting to not miss a second.
Hi Mr Medbury. I wanted to take the time to tell you how much I appreciate your audio book. Prior till now the only authors producing audio books that I enjoyed listening to was Mark Goodwin, that is until I ran across your book on RU-vid just last Friday . Its only been 4½ days and so far I've made to Luke's Trek part 4. What makes me so grateful to you for your audio book is that I have narcolepsy so I'm not able to read a regular book as I'm not able to stay awake long enough to normally even make it through the first page furthermore I've never been able to become so mentally / emotionally invested into books like I have been with your audio books as well as mark Goodwin's audio books. You both in my mind are the greatest authors in my world! If it weren't for you and Mark then I would have truly missed out on one of the greatest experiences of my life time. Thank you so much. I can't even explain how much I love listening to these but that moment on the pier when the citizens protected him from the Brothers legitimately had me crying... there's so many reasons why Luke is my favorite character but his sweet, loving, protective nature is one of them. He rushes in to help when most others won't. ❤

Man, this books are marvelous! I would like to see them made into movie! In today's stupid woke culture it is refreshing to see again a good vs evil. To see a real strong MAN complemented by equally strong WOMEN who are not ashamed of being a FATHER and a MOTHER. This book although being so sad is also so optimistic that a natural order of things will prevail. Thanks Scott!

Literally driving my car and crying....I near had to pull over,!!!....I said this about Rabid States...and I'm saying it about this book series...it needs to be made into a tv series!!!! ....with great actors and soundtrack! Oh my gosh, I am so glad I waited to listen to the end of this until I was at home alone. Beautiful and poetic, the reunion of father and daughter; the justice of Jared's death. Stellar work good sirs, I can't wait to listen to the next portion. ❤

The moment Ben brought in the baby I was able to picture the moment and Luke seen the baby and damn my eyes started leaking. Sir you have written a phenomenal series
Scott brother you an amazing writer. I’ve been listening to this series the past two weeks at work and love it so much, I can picture the entire story in my head vividly while listening. You paint such a good picture with your storytelling. I’ve never been a book guy but I need to buy the complete series to support you and your amazing skill! I can’t wait to finish the series and I can only imagine how well this would translate on the big screen as show. please look into pitching this series to some producers I would get everyone I know to give it a watch, hell I’m gonna pitch the books to everyone I know as well it’s amazing! I read about your negative feedback from not so supporting critics and I gotta say they are misguided and expecting too much so don’t let the negative words of some tear you down. It actually hurts my heart to hear how it makes you feel and wish they could just move on in peace instead of casting stones. Keep doing what you’re doing brother I see a bright future ahead. Luke is based on him, big tall, strong, redheaded guy with a hook in his hand. He just doesn’t want fans chasing them and once they see the hook it’s a safety issue.
Totally gonna be buying this series in physical form! Its amazing. I would have never heard of it had it not been available to listen to on youtube. With a gaggle of kids at home, I don't get as much time to read as I would like!
I'm absolutely hooked on this series! I've caught myself getting emotional several times now! (Especially when Brooke died and even moreso when Ben brought baby Erin to Luke) I'm still trying to get my shit together before I start "Civil War"! This is the second time I’ve listened to this, the standard of your writing is superb. The characters are so well drawn, we can picture them perfectly. Part four of Lukes trek was totally gripping, especially the final scene when he meets his daughter. The sparse words convey everything to us. Adam’s reading is so subtle for the different characters too. Another wonderful book, thanks Scott and Adam.

Evelyn, I must admit it was emotional finishing this one, Luke being reunited with his daughter was written from the perspective of someone who almost lost his daughter to Leukemia at age 3. I guess that emotion shone through, thanks for the comment :)

Wrote this book the glittering exception that I have seen When discussing military automatic, semi automatic, RPG is et cetera is the use of antipersonnel minds and in particular claim or defence / ambush mines. Highly effective and can be made. I found this omission, particularly by the military personnel at rick Mountain to deny access route to the underground complex incomprehensible. As does the use of explosives generally which were omitted throughout. Quite odd considering they had tank shells et cetera from which they could improvise as necessary. They’ve done it in Vietnam Afghanistan and the Middle East. As well as in every. Warfare game
Love the series. I will be buying the series on paperback!!!!! I love the writing style and the story. The characters are believable and I would like to see a AMC series like "The Walking Dead" come out of this. This would be awesome!!!!

This is a great group of characters that I think not just myself but everybody on here loves to follow. I am with How the book Series is written, you could do a whole spin off so many dif ways if you wanted to! A world wise book of its own what would happen if America was no longer, would Israel and Iran go at it, Would India an Taiwan go at China after the UN hit them! It’s really amazing to just sit back an think about.
