One of the things that makes MMA great is the fact that a loss isn't a death sentence. You can get a couple wins and get right back into the title picture. Boxers protect that undefeated at all costs, but MMA is all about fighting everyone, even if you lose, until you get the belt.

Luke's live chat has far surpassed Morning Kombat in watchability. You have timestamps, your takes are better, and you seem more relaxed and natural here. MK's revamp just doesn't feel the same; the chemistry/energy is different, and it feels like you're both performing - rather than conversing.

It was very obvious after the Ariel show what had happened. And if you pay enough attention to the details between conors post not showing his left shin and acknowledging that a metal rod in a shin does not bode well for mma training involving kicking and checking. If it's not a lower left leg issue related to the break I'd be shocked.

Conor's fights are good to watch because of his story and fight style. These days it's great seeing him defeated because of the way money's gone to his head. I'm a big fan of Pereira and will be forever grateful to him for knocking both Strickland and Hill out cold, but there's no denying that he has had favourable matchmaking. However, there's also no denying that his opponents have awful game plans for him. Blahowicz is the only fighter that had a smart approach and took him the distance in a very close fight.

Robert Witaker never defended the middleweight championship. He won the interim vs Yoel, it got promoted to undisputed without a defense, and then they rematched for a non-title bout before he lost to Izzy. There is also the fact that in MMA fighters are not incredibly overpaid as they are in Boxing, so they resond to financial incentives and keep the sport thriving and alive. That is why the UFC works so well and that is why fans such as myself do not want the fighters to receive ridiculous wages like in Boxing.
