The sound of the lightsabers coming from these worn audio tapes almost scares me. It has a really creepy feel to it that I've never experienced before. Also the music sounds like it comes straight from the 30s.
35 and 16 mm have that rustic May 21, 1980 feel to it. As someone who born at the end of the summer of 1980 and raised as a first generation fan. I absolutely love the Puggo 16mm aspect.
@timewarpdrive7764 No, that was fake. You can tell by the moment where Vader says in this fake "luke" for second time, it's basically taken from the moment he was saying "You do not yet realize your importance" and audience's reaction was straight up taken audio from Infinity War audience reaction
In terms of the lightsaber colours,Puggo is better,it is darker and isn't white in the middle finished with a blue/red glow.In terms of the backgrounds,Grindhouse wins, its lighter and looks more modern than Puggo Strikes Back.
The lighting and image quality is a lot better on the 35mm one, while the lightsaber color and oranges at the start are better on the 16mm. Also, at the end of the scene on the top platform, on the 35mm one, there’s a reel change. Damn you Fight Club, I can’t not see it!
I only ever watched the original VHS recording once, so I had no idea the first ignition sound when Luke draws his lightsaber was changed for whatever reason in later editions
ExtremePlayGames I still recommend harmys Despecialized it’s the best quality out of the 3 I take video and audio quality more and it’s a near perfect recreation
Oh my gosh, I never realized the soundtracks sounded not clear in this, it sounded like very very old while on DVDs it sound like it was new and clear, how strange.
Okay, but I find it cool and fun to hear how that sounds as it is a bit synthesized to me, do you too, I am not sure what is the grind house is, but tear over the years just makes me feel bad about it, but I don't know how they made them sound clean and modern sort of on DVDs?
Fan's Madness Fetishes Imagine being so much of a moron that you think people dislike the special editions specifically for being in 1080p. Get out of here, mate. This is no place for you.
Plus Grindhouse isn't as zoomed in and that makes Puggo Strikes Back look super weird in the scene where Luke gets his hand chopped off along with its dark colours imo.TBH Puggo looks weird in every way possible except the first part of the battle, when Luke is sliding down that mega-slide-that-leads-to-certain-death-without-plot-armour and its lightsaber colours.
@@philipdoesit6098 why would you expect a kid to know how a technology that probably wasnt around anymore when they were growing up worked? digital projectors started being common place around 2010. if a kid was 5 years old when that happened he would be in high school now
@@youngbutretro4228 yes but not everyone does. i will tell you for a fact (because I am in LA for film school) that I didn't know how film reels being changed worked until I saw fight club when I was 15 or 16.
