If we can do spinal with landmark technique, this block can definitely be performed with landmark!

It is easy to find spinous process by palpation technique, because this structures are very superficial whereas you can not find the transverse process by this technique, because it is exist at least 4cm below the waist tissues. Maybe you can find it after many attempts but you could reach the kidney while you trying the contact to the bone especially at the L2-3 levels and cause the hematome due to penetrated. So you shouldn't try it without ultrasound guided. Greetings from Türkiye 🇹🇷
