Honestly. So far I have used L10 on 11 projects. High quality preview has saved me from reviewing 330-440 sample renders. High quality preview has already paid for my upgrade cost from L9 to L10. Not to mention the feel good when siting with a client and having them watch high quality preview in absolute amazement. Lumion continually blows the minds of all my clients.

When you re-import a model (The client made changes etc.) - Do you need to re-apply materials/plants/cars ? What is the workflow for 3ds max (No live sync yet)

I got my new computer and installed Lumion, but I'm having an issue with 3D grass. It locks up Lumion every time when I apply it to my terrain. I've even decreased the area of the terrain in my model to be just around the house only and it still locks up every time. Am I missing something with this feature?

Yes. It's not only you. This is easily one of the most intense features Lumion has. I would strongly suggest limiting the 3d grass to very specific areas. It will make like much easier. You can blend it with the terrain grass pretty well if you load the same color map. Some defaults come close too.

What do I do if I want my model rendered like the one in the not updated preview??

Interesting request, but I think we can solve it. For the most part, what you see in the (real time non updated preview)viewport is what you will get when you hit render with some basic smoothing of shadows and details. If you turn off hyperlight and skylight effects the updated preview should look essentially identical to the real time, and the rendered result. Of course there are tons and tons of effects and combining of effects that may yield different results. Since i don't know your scenario, its hard to say, but try that out. Turn off skylight and hyperlight effect.

Thx very much. Things like reflection and shadow are not like I expected but for now this wil do.

So shadow will always render smoother, but i think i might get what you are looking for in reflection. In the reflection effect lumion by default turns on speedray reflections but it is set to low quality preview(off) in viewport. So try turning the preview to high quality to better see what it will look like in the end and try turning off speedray reflections, then lumion will render with the default low qulaity shperical reflections
