Lumpiang Hubad is literally fresh lumpia without wrapper made from a varities of sliced vegetables, sometimes mixed with pork, shrimp or tofu topped with garlicky sweet sauce and crushed peanuts.
INGREDIENTS :
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil
- 1 block firm tofu, cut into cubes
- 2 medium size sweet potatoes, thinly sliced
- 250g pork, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup water
- salt, to taste
- 3 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
- 1 medium size onion, peeled and chopped
- 2 medium size carrots, julienned
- 300g green beans, thinly sliced
- 300g mung beans sprouts ( togue )
- garlic and onion powder, to taste
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce, adjust as needed
- sesame oil, a few drops
- 1/4 head cabbage, thinly sliced
Fresh Lumpia Sauce:
- 3 cups water
- 6 tbsp cornstarch
- 9 tbsp brown sugar, adjust as needed
- 8 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 to 3 cloves garlic, minced
