started watching your videos 4 months back, i must say this 4 months is the best period of my life. my views on personal finance took a u turn towards right direction. 1. didnt have term insurance (instead paying 1.5 lpa on endowment and ulip policies, not sure whether to continue or stop these) 2. didnt have emergency fund 3. had huge bad debts 4. no investments other than pf. i assume i have gained minimum safe Fin knowledge by knowing where i am and what to be done immediately, Also a plan without an action is a mere wish hence completed step 1. Took 1c pure term insurance (per your video). working on steps 2 & 3. Thank you so much for this enlightenment...

Hi, can you suggest which type of mutual fund helps get some return if I want to invest the advance amount received when I let my house for rental for one year. Basically seeking for one year short term investment and return the advance amount after one year if the tenant vacate the house. I have some idea about liquid fund and other short dept fund. But, i could not conclude which one can beat inflation in one year with low risk.

How about investing lumpsum in a short term debt fund and doing a STP to invest in the equity fund over a period of time, say 6 months?
