'My body gave in. But my capacity to love never diminished.' Beautifully said. Great tribute. I recently had to put my Boston Terrier of 11.5 years down in Jan 22 of this year. He was blind in his right eye for a few years but still managed. The unconditional love a dog gives to his owner is overwhelming. Through tough times and illnesses, your dog is there to please you regardless. I wish dogs can live forever but God has other plans. We will eventually see our pets in the Rainbow Bridge.
I know what kind of pain you feel.Yesterday was 10 months my dachshund Trufel passed away.I cry everyday looking at His photos and watching films.Time doesn't help me and won't....
Sweet, sweet Luna…you blessed this world with your beautiful soul. You were loved….unconditionally…please find my Littleman…he traveled on Feb 22 @11:05 and we are still so, so sad. Sweet Luna❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This is absolutely beautiful memorial. Luna looked like a wonderful family member. 😢 💔 Brings tears to my eyes while watching with my 15 yr lil ol’ lady doggy Siggy.
Your boy Luna looks like he was an awesome part of your family. He looks a lot like our Rigatoni! He gets into a bit of trouble too. I hope the Rainbow Bridge is real and someday we will all be reunited. I wish mother nature made them live longer but we have to love them while we can. Keep runnin free in heaven Luna! Say hello to our Morgan, Sam, Drake and Gunner for us. Tell them we love them.
I've often wondered why losing a dog is sometimes harder than a person. I think I finally figured it out. A person can knowingly wrong you, a dog doesn't. A dog may piss you off, but not on purpose. They are always honest, they are always loyal, and they touch parts of our heart, we sometimes didn't know existed.
Also dogs are always there. I lost my father 6 years ago but lost my dog 2 months ago and it feels like it hurts even worse because I can't walk around my home without thinking I see my dog sitting everywhere.
My dad died recently at 90 years old. Although I of course love and miss him, I’m an adult who hasn’t lived with my parent for 15 years. At first I felt guilty realizing that losing my dog will be much harder on me, but I realize that it’s because my dog is a part of my daily life. During the pandemic he’s the reason I got dressed and went out every day. He’s slowing down now at 10 years old, and my heart feels squeezed whenever I see the stiffness in his walk when he first gets up in the morning. I would give him some of my years in a heartbeat so we could have more time together.
A Beautiful Tribute to Precious Canine Angel, Luna !!! I am sure in spirit she walks right by Your Side , showering You with Unconditional Love & Devotion Forever Young!!!
The only thing I hate about owning a dog is the guaranteed heartbreak at the end of your journey together. In the end we would do it all over again in a heartbeat. Luna, you can tell you had an awesome pack around you. Thank you so much for providing years of companionship. Rest sweetly little pup. As hard as it was, thank you for sharing.
I'm proud to be #130 thumbs up. I too lost my buddy, a Golden Retriever named Kingston, born in July 2009, and died in June 2023. RIP to all the good dogs that were.
Wow- that was touching. I went to the start and looked at young Luna, and thought, what a blessing he came along. Well done - well told. Best to you and sorry for yr loss.
Cuanto llegamos a querer a estos seres, verdad? Yo daría la vida por el mio. Tu vídeo es muy entrañable, espero que poco a poco lo vayas superando. Un abrazo muy fuerte
"Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together." -Author unknown
