Did I tell y'all I once recoreded one side of a cassette of just this song? Bike riding to work in the loop in Chicago - early 2000's. A GREAT jam for cutting through neighborhoods, up and down curbs...oh man, I miss those days. Thank you for this memory!
I was a teen when this came out. And like so many of you, I had it on one of my so many mixtapes. Now that I am all grownup I still love this song. Thank you for the memories ❤
this was it! this was the moment that made me fall head over heels in love with this band. randomly randomly had it recorded...when i played back the tape..i must have rewound and listened to these 2 songs over and over before finally buying the album. complete fluke in recording---led to lifelong fan. love it!
Thanks for posting, I didn't know Britta joined them so soon after this album....they toured Europe with this album with the original bass player... Completely underrated band!
Thing about the kazoo is that although it sounds silly and gets a bad rap it is the most direct translation of the tune the kazoo player is hearing inside their head, not run thru a filter of technical proficiency like a solo on an instrument. And Dean Wareham most definitely has a muse. Thanks for the vid.
This guys should have been big but for some unknown reason never got the widespread recognition. This is one of my favorite songs by them. I have a 4 cdr collection of greatest hits.
