The lion also wanted to be war master that is why he was an ashole he hated horus so much that if chaos did not make horus leader of the bad guys he would have joined them if he could kill horus of course hehehe
@@inspectorgary1000 all loyalist with the eseption of kan and bird boy wanted him as war-master and rougue was ok he doesn’t care about who is boss can be chaos can be the horus can be him only one person canot be and that is perturabo
At this point I'm sure he's seen it and knows a greater deal than he lets on. If anything I think he keeps the podcast on topic by asking Bricky plot prompt questions that Bricky hardly knows since he's just parroting Reddit memes of the story overall.
@@warlordjr.jr. lol his entire reason for being on this podcast is because he knows next to nothing about 40k and is here to learn about it from his friend .. and yet, he keeps bringing up the miniatures for the tabletop in detail, who gets that familiar to 40k tabletop pieces without learning the lore that goes with them? At the very least, the lore is literally used in the store's descriptions in order to sell the shit lol
@@TRAVISHOWRYMUSIC I can't help but think Bricky is just reading 1d4chan and subreddit excerpts . I'd like it if DK or Shy lead the topics since they seem to care more about the integrity of the show and the topics.
@@TRAVISHOWRYMUSIC that might have been true for the first few episodes, but one does not get introduced to the black hole that is warhammer and not get sucked in. By probably the last episode of the heresy trilogy im pretty sure he knew more than he was letting on, and for more recent episodes he’s played along with the naive persona for the sake of the podcast. He might not know obscure details or specific facts about the tabletop only people who’ve been playing for a while would know, but he probably has a pretty good grasp on things
Fun fact, Sanguinius did offer Conrad a hug. In fact he begged Conrad to come back to the loyalist and rejoin his family. Conrad really considered this because he considered Sangunius the one person in the entire galaxy free from sin and deceit, but he ended up rejecting it because if he did so and admitted that he could be redeemed it would make all the death, suffering, and torture he'd inflicted completely pointless and meaningless and he simply could not bear such a thought. This has been your 'well actually' of the day.
I think Lion and Leman are also pretty sinless and deceitless. Lion because the uberinstincts of his uberautism don’t let him Leman because he’s not clever enough to even concieve of lying.
The Emperor: makes every Primarch a savant at one aspect of warfare so that no single one could ever overthrow him. Also the Emperor: makes one of them a savant at rallying the others to his cause.
@@xshadowx32hd66 funny enough ferrus isn’t known for firepower despite that being an aspect of his legion along with Vulkan they both specialize in forging and brute strength (iron hands liked to augment theirselves post heresy) perty is the one guns blazing
@@xshadowx32hd66 I would like to correct you in the fact that dorn and perturabo were both great at fortification and sieging but in terms of building dorn is better at creating an original design and perturabo is able to improve apon anything. Guilliman was strategy, Magnus was intelligence. Angron was not martial prowess, he was originally intended to be a healer of sorts by the emperor, as he had the ability to take pain away from others, and the only reason he ended up being a rage machine who loved nothing but fighting because of the butcher’s nails.
Ultramarines with cooler color scheme and just a tiny bit less plot armour. Aside from abbadon, I dont know any character in 40k with more plot armour then that fucker
String storm introduced him to me, and thank fuck they did. To quote a comment in the song: the reason Rylanor was so busted up was because the dreadnaught had to carry the weight of his massive fucking balls all that time.
Shy may be even more deprived between both of them. DK has the childlike innocence of an anime weeb. And Bricky is sane who doesn't like Anime so he is safe. But Shy has Bricky-DK worst parts AND DK anime. That's a horrible mix! TLDR: Bricky maybe Khorne, and DK may just be Tzeetch because he wants to learn and uses mind tricks. But Shy is fucking Slaanesh!
As a fan of the Night Haunter himself, Watching Bricky and DK completely miss the connection between Nostramo, Nostradamus, and Conrad's future seeing abilities, was utterly painful.
The Lorgar Heresy: Lorgar: Brothers, it is Time that we rise against our Tyrant of a father and become the rulers of the Galaxy. 17 other Primarks: *angry bolter noises*
I duno, I'm pretty sure Angron and Mortarion would've been all for it, though they both would have believed THEY should be the ones in charge. Curze probably would join in too, but only because he knew it was going to happen that way eventually and his nihilism would get the better of him.
@@Hawk_of_Battle as much as I love my Nightlords and as much as I enjoy playing them. @@Hawk_of_Battlenah curze is redeemable a lot of times he just fears being right about his purpose and doesn't want the absolute worst possible option to occur where it was just lies from Sanguineous
Pretty sure Sanguinius did reach out to Konrad and offered him help. But Konrad thought he was a loss cause. He even vouched for Konrad during his trial from Guilliman and Lion in the Horus Heresy
No you have that in reverse bro, Konrad revealed that the Lion had executed a bunch of civilians for uprising on the planet and was going to kill Konrad for revealing the truth. Sanguinius was the one that wanted to spare him
@@guardsmanlars6797 Fairly bad. It's the kind of thing that you know is probably fairly normal in 40k, but you aren't really shown very often. The short version is some Iron Warriors and Dark Mechanicus come up with...inventive new ways to create space marines quickly.
"Is it because they're the *Night* Lords and it's dark in space?" NO!!! It's because their shipboard terror tactics make them seem a LOT like Xenomorphs! As in silent killers stalking the bowels and ventilation systems of the ship, unseen apart from the carnage they leave behind! They hunt like Xenomorphs, they're as deadly as Xenomorphs, the parallel is SO clear!
If you do a Emperor's Children vid, you HAVE to talk about about Rylanor, the chad Dreadnought that stood for 10,000 years to slap Fulgrim with a Virus Bomb. Oh, who also managed to get the three Thousand Sons to turn Loyalist.
gonna do a actually here, sry for that. Rogal Dorn and Horus were extremly close and he absolutely supported the emperors decition to make horus the warmaster without ANY negative feelings. Both were VERY close to each other and Dorn admired Horus with all his heart....which made the heresy unbelievable painfull for him and threw him in the deepest pits of agony and sadness. Baldermort did a VERY good piece on Dorn in a three part series.
Rogal gets way to mutch shit becaus of the memes (not TTS, they Portray both sides of Rogal there perfect, whit how e interacts with the Emperor in contrast to how he interacts with boy) and becaus of his Dorn side, that only the Black Templars care about.
@@Wanten-the-stormtrooper bricky is a racist (one specific type supported by modern "culture"). he uses the "excuse" of "memes" (that said, "blackface" was a meme at the time too) to mask his prejudice and xenophobia.
@@1r0zz Do you have any evidence of this, and if you do, could you please provide it? It should be 'innocent until proven guilty', like a court, and not 'guilty until proven innocent', like Twitter.
An entire episode on Horus and he somehow doesn't mention that the two closest primarchs were Horus and Sanguinius. This actually made many of the other primarchs jealous, and when Horus was named Warmaster, he was the first to congratulate him and was the one to convince him to change his legions name to The Sons of Horus. It was also Horus' own feeling of inadequacy to Sanguinius that helped in his corruption.
I think the two closest were acually Horus and Rogal, and Sanguinius was just genuenly the one that, similar to Fulgrim befor he fuckt up, every other Primarch liked.
Bricky doesn't really know the lore past reddit grimdank memes it seems. I wouldn't be surprised if DK actually knows more for all the extremely plot relevant prompt questions he asks.
Following the events of the Alpharius primarch novel, Alpharius was actually the first primarch found, he was found immediately after the scattering but kept secret for ages!
@@Blazo_Djurovic As we all know, not even the Alphalegions understands what the Alphalegion is doing. Those fuckers could surprise Tzeeche and Shegorath at the same Time and nobody would fucking notice.
One thing I will say is that not all chaos legions worship chaos; some see them as a means to an end, like the iron warriors and the night lords, some actually worship them like the word bearers or the SOME of the black legion.

@@1r0zz He's in that weird limbo where there are some small mentions of him somewhere that technically haven't been retconned out... I don't think he's gonna become a thing again though, not for a long time. Maybe GW will one day push the narrative in the "Chaos is getting out of control in realspace" direction and we'll have Sons of Malice come out in force to "help" stop it or something, but that would imply they have the numbers to do that.
Sanguineous literally took Conrad to a world that prevented both there visions to help him hell he told him about his upcoming death. Even Horus said Sanguineous was more deserving, Horus literally knew that if he didn’t get Sanguineous abs the blood angels he was going to be defeated.
I can't wait for Bricky to have to do the Perturabo research and realizes that, like Conrad Curze, he's actually one of the most interesting, morally conflicted, and misunderstood characters in 40k
You gonna tell him about the Dornian Heresy? That alternate version of events where Dorn becomes Warmaster and everybody’s position in the heresy is reversed?
When speaking about the Emperor's favored son, the Lion el Johnson primarch book frames it perfectly, he plays on everyone's personality to get them to act, in essence none of them are his fave.
I'm finding it super interesting that Horus has the roman look to him with the wolf pelt and the fact Rome's creation myth was about two brothers named Romulus and Remus who were raised by She-wolf. Romulus and Remus got into a fight just like Horus and Sanguinius, too! And guess who won. I'll give you a hint, there's a reason it's called Rome.
8:00 it wasn't even 1vs1 The big furry bringed with him 3 giant wolf and an entire squad of sister of silence (you know the ones that stop psychic power from working?)
44:04 Simply a theory since his crown had a red gem stone that looked very similar to an elder soul gem. Though honestly, if that ever does come true that would be pretty rad. Sure, he could never reform his body but the mind living on is an interesting idea and would make sense considering how he let himself be killed.
Can confirm, was going to comment myself if it hadn't been mentioned already. To elaborate, Eidolon seems to be more like the Abaddon-level Emperor's Children-specific stand-in primarch, whereas Lucius the Eternal is the actual full-on champion of Slaanesh.
Imo, Sanguinius is the naturally charasmatic primarch, where Horus is extremely good at reading the room and saying things in a way that gets him what he wants
Just came home from work. Got tomorrow off so I can take my time at home. Settled down. Sent a few snaps to friends. Booted up my powerhouse. And then I see the notif. My day has just become great.
45:50 This sequence right here, Bricky just doubling and tripling and quadrupling down on the same bad joke and DK suffering way more from it than he should, that was amazing.
AcTuAllY, Alpharius is the first Primarch to be discovered by the Emperor, Alpharius talks about it in the book Alpharius Head of the Hydra in the Horus Heresy Primarchs series of novels. Anyway great Podcast really recommend you read the book or listen to the audiobook it is a great one
Wait a minute, i had not read the book, but if what you said is true. Does that mean the story.that Horus himself found Alphais, and/or Omegon is not true?
I do love the ascetics of the Luna wolves along with their warrior culture despite them not getting like any big big books, but the stuff we have of them are just top tier
The Eye of Horus is a reference to the Egyptian deity Horus, and his eye after Set destroyed it. Hathor restored it and it became a symbol of healing, protection, and restoration. GW just changed the symbol to look like the All-Seeing Eye in Christian lore.
Had this podcast on in the background while my friend and I were doing our minis. She had no interest in the lore of 40k then came away afterwards intruiged. You guys are doing the gods work, this is the perfect _my first warhammer_ stepping stone.
As soon as I tuned in, Bricky was saying some heretical shit like "SUS" and Horus Man, that Anime version of Doge Vandyre really did a number on you, huh?
nope, he dead for good. No soul no coming back and no ghost shenanigans like Sanguinius does when ever Dante tries killing himself. Horus is dead for good nothing can be done about it, it better this way we don't want to end up like marvel where death has no meaning. Some times it better to just let a character stay dead, it gives meaning to the story and purpose to it.
Imagine if they *did* bring back Horus, *just* to have a team up between the Imperium, and Abaddon, because Abby wants to stay Warmaster. That would be fucking hilarious.
