not really. The remake is for the VN, we don't have an official anime. Flaws and everything, this was before the saberface syndrome that came to be afterwards.

@Old Liquid see after years of people shit talking I finally decided to watch it. And I was surprised. As an adaptation and as it's own anime.. I genuinely found it worse than what people let on. Even early on. It's just so underwhelming, Take Nrvnqsr Chaos for example. IN the VN he can summon crocodiles, Sharks, unicorns all sorts of crazy stuff. The anime limits it to just a couple of wolves and crows, even in scenes when he used more than just that. That's not even going into the bad animation even for the time, and the fact that the writers of the anime had never read the VN, only read a synopsis.
@@seancunnginham2967 What are you talking about VNs for? Luna Legend Tsukihime was based on the first few issues of the manga of the same name, and was fairly faithful apart from moving the timeline around.
The anime is actually okay. It's not great, because it doesn't really resolve, but it has a TON of atmosphere, and the music is wonderful. If you just want a gothic mood, you won't be disappointed.

@Old Liquid I just recently finished the anime and watched a playthrough of the game and I gotta say, the anime doesn't deserve the hate it gets. Sure, it's different from the game, but I'd argue that it still stands up. The manga on the other hand? I dunno. Can't read it. Game's amazing though. Arcueid had the best route easily (sorry Kohaku...)
Спустя неделю после прочтения новеллы я залпом за один день посмотрел весь этот сериал. До того он был прекрасен, что дух захватывает. Сюжет верен первоисточнику, красивая рисовка и музыка. Интересно поменяли дизайн героев, особенно понравился ШИКИ-Роа. Из минусов могу отметить то, что они не попытались экранизировать остальные арки, пожалуй всё. Все эти мемы про "несуществующее" аниме просто считаю массовой неадекватностью, фан база у тайтла какая та специфичная я заметил. Тот самый случай, когда лучше наслаждаться вселенной одному и не искать единомышленников.
when i first started this show, i was pretty excited because it looked interesting. what i later realised is that the show is a shitty vampire romance story that was boring as fuck.... please tell me how the VN is a little but better and why it is better, because i honestly cant understand how such an empty story is good as an anime or vn....
+Enigma Productions Well a lot of time later XD, the vn its better because its actually makes sense, unfortunately they made a mess over the anime, the vn its darker, more explicit and gory, the characters have their how route to be developed and are not as plain and rushed as the anime makes them be (Arc origin and development as the white princess), Akiha´s real relatonship and powers (the red hair), ciel development over why she is with the church and what does she really want, the Hisui/Kouhaku weird and very very dark past... yeah theres a lot more to be had in the VN, also there are two general paths to how you want the plot to be developed, with more supernatural development (near side of the moon with Arc-Ciel or far side of the moon with Akuha-Kohaku/Hisui). I recomend way more the manga if you dont want to play the visual novel or wait for the remake.
@Old Liquid Its not bad if its used in context of displaying underwhelming quality of almost (emphasis on almost) every aspect of this adaptation compering to the Kinoko's original VN and Sasaki-san's Manga. Even as standalone project. Lets face it, its really lacking in many things. Opening (and Justice OST) are awesome tho! ww
