ACR30 Estima/Previa/Tarago uses independent (Macpherson) struts on the rear. The next generation GSR50 uses torsion beam. I have noticed GSR50 seems to have tighter cornering, especially at speed but also seems to have rougher ride. I thought the torsion beam design was just to save space to allow the seats to fold flat but now I know there was probably also a conscious trade-off between the toe-in/toe-out characteristics of the torsion beam rear to improve handling vs the ride comfort from the all independent rear suspension design on the earlier gen model.
