You should have made another Chinese version called "采薇", instead of this version that is a direct translation of "紡唄".ln terms of both rhyme and meaning of the lyrics, I think "采薇"is much better.Though the problem is only few people know it since the name is not related to "紡唄". As for comparison with the original, I like the vocaloid version because I think it fits the style of the music well. Having said which, this is more restrained and... what should we say... cuter? And as such, it's lovely.
I discovered only seconds before your reply that Luo Tianyi is a Chinese vocaloid, so now I'm really confused because I don't really know how vocaloid is produced. To me a .vsq file might as well be a Cantonese version of My Little Teapot. I think I'm just too old to keep pace with technology, and way too old to be asking stupid questions. I'll just sit back in blissful ignorance and enjoy the sound. And thank you for your prompt reply. I like your name, by the way.

Basically the super simplified explanation of Vocaloid is that human voices have created a library of sounds in which a program on a computer uses to synthesize into simulated singing. People use this program to create the vocal track to any song they wish. There are many different types of vocaloid programs with different voice libraries. This vocaloid(the program) is called Luo Tianyi. Atleast..that's my understanding of it? I'm no expert, but I figured if you wanted an explanation that isn't a Wikipedia page long then this may help. Also, congrats, you're an adult who didn't automatically judge Vocaloids in a negative light for being vastly different from most music! So glad you found something you could enjoy, and hope you can find more music that broadens your horizons further :)
I will admit to being particularly fond of the natural female voice, but why not make music however it can be made? Let's enjoy the broadening horizons. I've little doubt that Mozart would have happily used a synth if they'd been invented then. And thanks for the brief explanation. I think I'm getting there... Nice name, by the way, only now I'm intrigued as to how it's pronounced. Is it Gee-anna, or Janna, or Jenna, or Jeena or something else my adult mind hasn't come to terms with yet?
Thanks! I've never heard of that version. Needless to say, I prefer the direct translation. There is something about the lyrics that captivates me. That being said, I wouldn't be opposed to making that version if you would like. It may take a bit though, since I'll have to completely remake the .vsq.

I really love this and would even go so far as to say I prefer it over Rin and Lens ver. but the voice is just a little too high in volume compared to the music It almost feels like she’s singing karaoke or something rather than it being like an official track on a CD where the voice and music become one piece It’s not louder by a whole lot but it is noticeable I mean if you’re coming specifically to hear her voice sing or hear your tuning or whatever then this is actually really perfect since you hear both the music and the voice but the voice is more... clear??(Not sure what words to us to describe it)distinct?? Loud... so you can hear it for what is better However, if you came here because you were looking for a replacement for the original because Rin and Lens voices/tuning/not native accents were “not it sis” or just ruined the feel of the song for you all together, then this cover is a great replacement, but the voice is just a little too loud in comparison to the music which somewhat makes me wish I had a computer right now to open another tab with the instrumental to play at the same time as this to sort of even out the volume of the voice in comparison to the music... but then I think “I don’t care enough to do all of that :/”... then I think “shit.. Luo Tianyi tell me about it I kinda feel the same way but the tuning sounds a bit choppy and buzzy so... idk... it’s kind of a love-hate relationship(more like love-dislike relationship) I wish somebody would make an updated version combining different voice banks of theirs(rin and Len)to make it sound a little more natural for the song (I don’t really mind the unnatural aspect of vocaloid. I think it has its own charm in a way and can work great with a lot of songs... I just feel that for this song specifically, because the sound of the music, *that type* of unnatural sounds out of place) I feel like rins voice I can maybe do with or without but len is what keeps me going back to listen to the original version from time to time I feel like Len has a very distinct voice(in some songs more than others) and so as much as I may love another cover, or as perfect as a cover may seem in every other aspect, I feel left slightly empty inside because lens distinct voice isn’t in it
