This shows a different way of finishing a lure , where normally you would paint it directly, I'm using colored resin to achieve my goal. I had an amazing time creating this lure, it’s the first lipped lire I’ve made.
excellent video, congratulations, can you please tell me where you bought this small motor and how you connect it to make it work, I would like to make a rotating system like that, thank you
Great color. Believe it or not, it is almost identical to the color on the back of Hybrid stripers. Deadly to say the least.( i.e. Bubba Shad Ghost Minnow 7-9")
great video sir!.....what clear epoxy resin did u used sir? any 3-5minutes clear epoxy will work in finishing the lure? just asking sir.....many thanks....cheers!!!!
thanks for posting the great videos ! quick question... what is the knife you are using to carve the lure ? it looks like a specialty knife rather than a regular utility knife. :)
Hello. Great job. I watch your videos and I have a question about the tunable dryer motor you use. What's the RPM I need to order one online but I don't know what rpm should I order.
Angel Vega wheel I think the one I use us 6 tpm but if toy can get one that turns 1.5 turns per minute is actually the best, if you can't find one just look for disco globe motors.

So when do we get to the "Lure Painting: Finishing a lure with resin" part?
it's a mixture of aluminum tape, and a holographic foil known as Minc, they sell the take at any store, Walmart, home depot, and the holography is sold at Joan's Fabrics
+Conexão Austrália the industrial aluminum Duct Tape which is what you saw combined with the Minc holograph foil is about 5.5 mil thick. but anny thicker than that I don't think you'll find.
Hello FishingInstinct Greetings from Peru.... I like to do my own lures as well. I watched your videos and they are great. Would you please tell me where did you buy your Holographic Foil Transfer roll??? You can't imagine how many places I have tried to find it. In Amazon, I found some for but it is not the same. They are small mini rolls and they are used for girl nails. The one that you are using is what I was trying to get. Thank you in advanced, Antonio
Hello Antonia And greeting to from Los Estados Unidos ....the Holographic Roll that you see took a long time to find as well , I found the one that I use at a hobby store known as Michaels' Craft store , you can find it online and compared to other options I have used its very inexpensive and yields a fair amount .
Hello ... I know Michaels' Craft stores well. Every time that my wife go to the USA she buys special paper and stuffs like that for her gifts. I have visited their web site before, but I never found Holographic Foil Transfer rolls. I have many holograms foils, but they are self glued, like a sticker. The foil transfer is great because it adapts perfectly to the shape of your lure´s curves. On the other side, the self glued one, always try to keep their original flat shape. I need to get those rolls...hahahaha... regards and thank you, Antonio
greetings from egypt , i liked your work and have couple of questins , is that foil designed to be adherent to a glued surface ? so when you remove the transparant surface the other one is losely adherent , in other words , is it a steker without glue ? or just normal foil ? if it is could you please give me its trade name coz i wanna make my own fishing tools . wish you all the best , you have my support
Greetings from Florida, the foil in question is a holographic transfer foil, I'm not sure if its a sticker but when you apply it to anny surface that has an adhesive on it, it will transfer abs I bought it from a store called Joan's Fabrics and its called Minc here is the website www.heidiswapp.com/minc
thank you :) about the adhesive material , is it the same that glue concrete ? or this is another type ? and finally , the coloring material ! what is its type which make it glisating ?
for the lure body I used gel superglue gorilla brand . the aluminium tape has a backing of specific glue already ,to transfer the hologram to the aluminium it is the rubber cement ,and the coloring comes from a mixture of green acrylic paint and 15 minute epoxy .
well , i have 2 questions , about the eboxy , how it is cleaned oug of the brush ? and do you use it while it is thick vicid material ar add some liqueds to it ?
ahmed el-shahat well the type of epoxy that I used for the finish is for encasing ,you really can't clean the epoxy from the brush which is why I use horse hair flux brushes they sell then about 60 for a few dollars.
Urgent question: I've applied Envirotex two-part resins to some spinnerbait heads, but it was a bad mix and the lures are semi-soft after a day of drying. Is it possible to try again, by putting a layer of correctly mixed resin on top of the first coat that didn't fully harden?
The main problem is that you would have a hard resin shell on top of a soft resin body meaning that if a toothy finish bites it may take the finish off. But try it and find out that's really the only way to know for sure.
@@LucioYChristinasCookingShow excelente , la cinta de aluminio si la uso para mis señuelos pero el film minc no lo conocía ; lo buscaré . Muchas gracias
apektos t its very simple all you neef is three pieces of wood two at 5-6 inches and the base at 10 inches, I will be posting a build video for the rotating rack soon.
Are you sure it's the right foil? I went to Michaels and bought exactly what you put in the link, but it does not work. The holographic film does not stick to the lure. (I also used the same glue).
