I love to make single lures and experiment with different materials so I can see which finish I can get , here I'm using some transparent paper for the reflective portion
So glad I stumbled onto your page! Great work you are producing. I have gotten tons of info from watching your vids. I make a few things here and there, and have seen a few tricks you do to make things go faster. Keep e'm coming!
Great Video! Thanks for taking the time to complete a step by step video. I can't tell you how lucky we are to have people like you willing to share their expertise !!!! I do have have one question. What is the name on the large knife or scalpel you used in the video and where can I purchase one??? Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!! Regards, RJ. Fern
i was just about to add "you could save alot of time carving those slots for the bearings by using a dremel", then i see you use a dremel for the wire grooves. why not dreml out those slots? it would be much neater and so much easier. i started carving my lures from scratch. and was so proud that they were 100% handmade by me, right from cutting the wood in the bush to painting them. not one power tool. but, now i have incorporated sanders, dremels, scroll saw, airbrush, lathe, etc. i'm just addicted to making them now, and want to make as many as possible, so i sped up many processes.
breathe and squeeze .you do have a good point but sometimes I just like the intricacies that come with making them by hand and limiting the power tools
they work both ways, the way it's set up now it's a low rattle, but by placing a small metal disk at the back you for the balls to strike you can change the pitch.
usually you can find it at any home improvement store, I think I bought it at home depot, but if you have to search online it's called aluminum Duct Tape
Hello!!! Congratulations for your channel and your work, I find it very interesting !! A question please, what caliber do you have the weights you use for your lures ?? Thank you
Gracias
Hello, excellent job, congratulations. I want to know what kind of knife, i saw japanese , do you use? In addition to adhere the iridescent paint or a glue?
Massimiliano De Matteo yes the knife is a Japanese right handed single bevel carving knive, you can get it from amazon I think mine was $30, they are definitely worth it, as far as the finish goes its actually translucent gift wrap paper I bought at a hobby store combined with rubber cement and aluminium duct tape, all of them give you that finish
@ 7:07 there was that clear plastic sheet you placed on the foil , would you please kindly tell me how to get one and under what category I name it or search for ?? thanks
it's a Japanese right handed single bevel carving knife by far the best I have ever bought for carving, cuts through the wood, any wood like butter, easy to clean, and sharpen.
