It’s the council’s responsibility to provide garbage bins & not shop owners who pay rates to the owners. Shop owners should just contribute small donations each month to help the council pay for the cleaners.

Improved👏👏Those were the days! Mwaiseni, ZCBC and the dreaded Bata shoe shop (no teenager wanted Bata shoes)! Cairo Road was really clean and the middle was green and a few picture sellers, for tourists. Needed now is the cleaning of the papers out of kerbs it really spoils everything. *They should introduce on the spot fines for littering, to generate income for street cleaning budget. So many unemployed youth can be recruited to sweep kerbs and pick up paper and prompt people not to throw rubbish. Win win...they get pocket money😊

thanks for the update things are looking much better now to add more bins, fix the landscaping and have some permit security guards to make sure things remain in order hope LCC can learn from Windhoek, Kigali and Cape Town.

Welcome from Buffalo New York USA. In the streets of New York there are many shops, and food trucks. We have lots of trash binds located near the shops. I love Zambia, as I continue to research the country via RU-vid. I've been taking care of my Zambian Queen for over two years now. I plan on moving to Zambia on day soon if I am blessed to do so, Keep me, and Miss Mutale in your prayers.... Be Blessed.
