Actinium 225 has been available over seas for 5 or 10 years. I got it in Germany in 2021. The US is once again recreating the wheel and taking credit while delaying care.

Thank you so much for making this video happen Alex. I requested info on Actinium-225 under the comments section not that long ago🙏. Actinium-225 is becoming available here in South Africa as an approved treatment option in early 2024. I have advanced metastatic PC ( Gleason 10) but am still responding to hormone therapy. I am just gathering as much info as possible for if and when i become castration resistant. Thank you for helping with that. You and Doc Scholz are just super 🌟 stars!

Even though this isn't available yet, I'm hoping the phase 2 and 3 trials follow suit with the phase 1 results. clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT04868604

Where did you hear its becoming available in early 2024? My dad (aged 72) has advanced metastatic PC, but like you, responded very well to the triplet therapy (docetaxel + Zolla + darolutamide). His PSA dropped from over 700 to 0.85 within just 2 odd months! He goes for his next PET this coming week. Moved early due to incredible results thus far via the PSA tests. We have had war with getting Bonitas to approve Nubeqa (darolutamide) so we paying it ourselves - HARDCORE stuff 🤢 We are moving him to another medical aid and they will cover Nubeqa. Organic + keto diet + turkey tail mushrooms + triplet therapy clearly working incredibly well!

@RouxAdventures Hi. Actually I found out on Thursday that it's already been made available at the Netcare in Umhlanga, Durban. ( Nuclear Medicine Department). Dr. Maharaj is the specialist there and in fact they have already administered Actinium-225 to the first patients in South Africa. I phoned her office and they have confirmed this. Not sure how the medical aids work re this treatment but will be doing my research going forward. Good luck with your dad's treatment and let's hope he remains in remission for a long 🙏 time.

Why are these advanced meds only used on really advanced stages instead of going thru all the ADP and Chemo. It seems like this is the way to go instead of what I call weed control. Take the med PSA goes down later the weeds grow back and PSA go up and the Merry Go Round continues.

I am 4 years into standard hormone treatment. 2 years on eligard and chemo. Psa went .017. Started climbing so added radiation and xtandi. After 2 years, psa climbing slowly now 2.67 and some changes in mri noted plus new growth at T10 and small spot on skull. It is November 2023 , I was wondering date of this video. Dr George at Roswell has agreed with changing up my treatment to radiation but did not specify which. It seems my cancer is very aggressive. Should I push for the newer type? I'm being treated ate Roswell Park Cancer Center in Buffalo NY. I'm scheduled for my first PSMA-PET SCAN Dec4.

I had 4 infusions with Lu-177 (they said I would get 6, but only did 4) & my PSA went from 5 to .3. They also said my scans showed no disease progression, but that was a misdiagnosis as I developed more bone metastasis & within 6 months, my PSA rose to 15.7. I then started chemo with taxotere & got my next PSA results after 2 rounds & it was 31.8!(whether or not this was a PSA spike, IDK) Had my 3rd round of chemo a week & a half ago(even though it appears to not be working because I now have even more bone metastasis & the radiologist said this is still very treatable - question is: with what? As low dose chemo has made me feel like garbage for a week or more after each round, so I can only imagine how I’d feel after stronger chemo(plus a lost more hair that the some my dr said I would lose)). Fortunately, for now, my metastasis is staying in the bone(pelvis, T7, & now ribs), but it has been quite depressing that all the treatments & misdiagnosis & after the excitement of having my PSA get so close to undetectable, it is rising very quickly now. My oncologist mentioned nothing that this latest spike could very well be from the chemo, I had to google it myself & found 2 studies at the top of the search that indicated this can happen. One study had the last line that said for oncologists to tell your patients this could happen to alleviate fear & anxiety. I was scheduled for a 4th round of chemo early in December, but I don’t know what the status of that is and am fearful if low dose chemo makes me feel like a wreck, what exactly are my options going forward in the short term? With this new treatment not yet approved, I guess it is not an option. Just tired of all the failures on my journey thus far with only one treatment out of the 7 showing promise but ultimately failing, too.

Once I became hormone resistant my oncologist put me on taxotere, and after four cycles my PSA continued to climb. He switched me to jevtana, and immediately my PSA started drop. While I still had the fatigue and tiredness (starting about two days after the infusion, and lasting about 5-7 days), I had less side effects with jevtana than I did with taxotere. Plus my head hair and beard regrew. At least in my case, jevtana is far superior to the generic taxotere.

Are there any studies of potential benefits to moving PSMA-Actinium EARLIER in the treatment path, such as combining it with triplet therapy in search of a CURE?
@stevef7814

I suspect it would be very effective, but I haven't found any urologist or oncologist who will answer the question. There is an early stage 3 patient who went to India and had pluvicto and eradicated all metastases. Only spots left after second treatment were in the prostate but minimal. He did not state any side effects other than dry mouth. He has two RU-vid videos.

Since Lu-177 only usually decreases PSA half percent, what do doctors usually supplement after. Example: PSA at 100 when Lu177 started. After Lu177 PSA goes down to 50. At 50 PSA I would think there are still huge concerns and met bone pain. So what would be the supplement treatment to help with that? Would then spot radiation to certain mets after Lu177 help? Or does spot radiation not very effective after the body has received Lu177. I’m not mentioning the new treatment discussed due to it being so new. I’m trying to understand plan for someone that received lu177 when they hsd high psa, and lu177 helped to decrease psa but psa is still not in good range.

Great info! Do you have a video on side effect’s usually seen while and after the first dose of chemo? And usually when those side effects are seen or take to develop? Are there things you can do to prevent or decrease these side effects? Mainly low wbc count, fatigue, taste changes, nail or mouth issues. The WBC is the biggest concern. My dad is in his 80s. Is there a difference in very low and regular dose chemo when it cones to side effects. I’m a caregiver and my dad is getting chemo for first time. I wanted to know what to expect during and after 1st treatment and how what I can do to help.
