We got the itch to hit the sticks, so we solved that problem by making a decent sized hitting surface to practice on and get some reps in! It is 6'x4' with about a 1" lip all around to prevent the balls from rolling off of the surface in case of strong winds, I can see the concern having a lip there with hitting the balls and possibly hitting the lip. However, with the hitting mat that i bought it is raised up to almost even with the top of the lip. You would have to do something pretty crazy to hit the lip while hitting off of that mat! The net in the video is the Maxfli 7'x7' hitting net and the mat is also Maxfli dual height hitting mat with a fairway section and a rough section.
