How does that mat go with leaving residue on your club? I find with the cheaper turf squares the plastic comes off quite easy (though it equally scrubs off the clubs quite easy too).
Hasn’t been too bad really. I normally get that stuff anyway even from the driving range because I can come in quite steep. Been using the Matt flat out and it’s doing really well 😊
I managed to get hockey pitch carpet removed due being completely sanded and done. I wssh the sand out and its great. Lasts very well. Looks new too. 4*20m roll too for free! . I tried ex range mats, no good too hard kids hate them, numb hands after 30mins. Hockey mat nope, soft great for off the deck too.
Made one of these and it’s pretty good but I have torn 2 smalls holes in it after about 3 weeks ls great to stand on so will probably just add a hitting strip. It is a tiny bit small for driver and woods as well
Would you still recommend doing this mate? I just can't get myself to pay 500 bucks for a mat, but I do recognise the benefits in a proper hitting mat too.
@@davidmaxfieldgolf Me too. I got rid of mine after 45 years. By the way I have never talked to anybody from the future before. It’s only 10 pm on March 23 here in Florida.
@@swardmusic That’s a good idea! After using it for a few days now I’m pretty stoked with it. If I wanted to step it up a bit the next thing would be to up the quality of the fake grass but for now this works perfectly.
Not sure what you did to yours bro but mine has been perfect 👍🏼 been hitting irons and wedges for the last 3 days going pretty hard on it and it’s fine
@@davidmaxfieldgolf Has it still been going alright? I assume you're hitting off it most days, I'm considering doing my own bunnings job too but if its just going to wear out in a couple of weeks i'm thinking I should just buy a $200 mat that will last a few years.
@@EastCoastImposter hey mate, yes still going fine. I’ve hit probably about 1000 wedge shots and full shot. It does start to wear after a while going straight on the grass. Works much better with a hard surface underneath so next time I’ll do the same but have wood mdf board under the rubber
