I can’t explain what I feel when I hear this. It’s powerful, it’s creepy, it’s beautiful and it’s apocalyptic. I don’t know how to feel about it, it’s too much
Always felt the same way since I was a child and watched a creepypasta about Hello Kitty's "Real Story" lmao. But after watching Requiem for a dream, you know why it is composed the way it is. Aronofsky and Mansell made a hymn for the self destruction, tragedy.
@@emeraudemajeau486 Just because there’s a pandemic doesn’t mean it’s the end of the world. It is coming soon though. We may not live to see it but it’s not long from now.
I have never heard a musical piece which deserves its name more than this one. Lux Aeterna; eternal light. It begins soflty like light at dawn, enveloping, friendly. It continus to shine, brighter and brighter, until it is becoming uncomfortably blinding. It chases you, a merciless ray, increasingly aggressive, almost unfriendly, forcing you to seek shelter in the shadow away of its heat. Then, it dims, making you yearn for it again, apprehensive of its power yet aware that you are lost without it.
7 Fucking years... 7 FUCKING YEARS IT TOOK ME TO FIND THIS VIOLIN SONG!!!!!!!! 7 FUUUUCKIIIIINGGGG YEEEAAAAAAAAARSSSS!!!!! I FINALLY FOUDN IT OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG
+The Gost Yeah, he's such an "Ediot" "What a fuck" Don't call someone an "Ediot", Learn how to spell first, then we'll talk. (Maybe it's not your home country, but it's not mine either, you simply learn it from Computer games/School... Just sayin')
If this song was wrote in the time of Mozart, Bach etc it would be considered one of the greatest pieces ever composed. But as it’s a “movie score”, a lot of musical snobs turn their noses up at. This is the world we live in now.
I mean... no, not really. Hans Zimmer and Ennio Morricone both primarily wrote music for films, and they have been praised endlessly. The reason movie tracks don't get as much recognition as famous classical pieces is because they are usually meant to be accompaniment for whatever is happening on screen and they are only part of a much larger story, spectacle, or experience. There is also the fact that not everyone may see that movie (I do not personally know anyone other than myself who has seen Requiem for a Dream).
@@laithalabri8456 Hmm I understand but I suppose the idea is that this piece will never get the same level of ranking as old great pieces because it was created for a movie and it's a modern piece
I told chat gpt it goes like du du - du DU du DU - du DU du DU - du du du du du du du du du du du du - du DU du DU - du DU du DU and it brought me here
"Lux Aertna" And "Arrival of the Birds" Are by far my favorite music pieces. Once in a while I just feel like listen to these songs and idk but it does something to me I can't really explain....
I watched this movie back when it came out. Me and 3 friends. No idea what the movie was about. We were a bit older then the majority of the crowd. In the beginning, people were making casual jokes. Towards the end the volume got turned up, louder and louder. I could feel the bass in my stomach. Getting more and more uneasy with what was unfolding on the screen before me. But Aronofsky doesnt let you go, he just kept pushing and pushing, louder and louder, worse to nightmare. I was so relieved when the movie was finally over. I felt sick. Noone was getting up to get out first and drive off in their car. Everyone was dead silent. Noone said a word untill they were outside. The words skullfucked beyond belief was uttered. I have not seen the movie since. I would probably ruin the memory. Absolutely perfect.
1st time I heard this was during an Olympics years and years ago. It was pairs ice skating and I was mesmerized. Rushed to find out what it was. So dramatic. Brilliant! I found it and downloaded it to my computer that no longer works and my iPod which is lost. I thought of this song a few days ago wanting to listen to it. Lo and behold in a random short I clicked on this song is in the background. Got the name I couldn't remember and now have it saved in my RU-vid. Thanks to the poster. This made my day.
This used to be a comfort song for me in high school, until around 2016 era when I saw Requiem for a Dream. The song only brought sadness, I haven't listened to this song in over 6-7 years, it is still incredibly beautiful, but still overwhelms me with a profound sadness!
0:01 You write your exam tommorow. 0:25 You realise that you haven't studied yet so you have only 5 hours until school. 0:40 You start to freak out. Only 2 hours remaining and you remember nothing. 1:08 You go to school full of anxiety. 1:22 The teacher gives everyone their exam papers. You look at the questions full of despair and sorrow. 1:36 Only 2 hours for you to write. You start with the first question. 1:56 Somewhat easy. Your anxiety passes away for some time. You check the other excercises. 2:12 Second question. You remember nothing. You kick your head and try to remember any slight information. 2:26 After some more very hard excercises and questions, you look at the clock. 1 hour left and you still have a lot of things to do. 2:45 A friend gives you the answer for some questions. You feel kind of relaxed. 2:55 The teacher catches you. He shouts at you for 5 whole minutes and sends you to a different position. 3:08 Only half an hour left. You have to write a 8-paragraph essay. 3:22 Still 5 paragraphs mising and the time passes faster than ever. 3:35 Done with the essay. 2 more pages that have to be solved in 10 minutes. 3:50 5 minutes. You write as fast as you can. The teacher stares at you. Your blood is boiling. 4:00 The bell rings. You go crazy. 4:15 The teacher gets up to collect your exams. 4:38 Approaches faster.... 4:50 You have only 1 page left. Your hand is burning. 5:00 The teacher asks for your exam. You are so close.... 5:15 He grabs it with force. You get it back. 5:22 He tries to take it. You continue writing even if you are false. 5:40 Only 1 question left. The teacher is impatient. 6:00 He takes it before ending the last question. Some days pass. 6:04 Your parents see the grade.
What is the one thing that; We can both Give, receive, cannot be taken away, and it only Grows?...We are born with it...and it is all we can take with Us when we die❤️...pass it on😊
I had this track on my phone before it caught on fire in my car and I've been trying like hell to remember where I got it from. Glad I've reunited with it, love the dubstep version too. Use to have my 4 jl w6 v2 12s bumping 😉
How could I forgot about this masterpiece... This makes me feel like I need to watch Requiem for a Dream one more time although I know that I'll cry at the end of the movie, just like last time.
boy, if you're reading this, it's time to put on your mask and forget the fear and start making changes, take care of your privacy as if it were your soul.
The first day of school: The alarm clock starts killing your eardrums, you dont want to wake up, you try to force your brain to stay asleep but your ears cant take it anymore. You slowly get out of your bed, rushing to the alarm clock trying to stop it. Just as you stop the ear torture, you realize what you have done, where you are, and what time is it. As you start regretting getting out of bed, you look at the clock, your 30 minutes late and the bus comes 5 minutes later. As you start hearing your moms shouting voice, you quickly get in your school uniform, break the door, rush through the corridor as you try to get in to the bathroom. Its locked. Just as your about to break the door, you realize how much trouble you will get in and you say to yourself, "screw it", you slide down the stairs to the kitchen as you get the milk and the cereal boxes, you open them and you pour them to your mouth, you start eating it in your mouth as you rush for your school bag. You take it, break the front door of the house and start rushing to the bus stop like your the flash, you jump over cars, slide under broken fences to take the short cut to the bus stop. When your just a few blocks away, you see the bus approaching the stop. Adrenaline starts pumping. You forget everything. All you can see, hear, smell, think about is the bus, the road and yourself. Your legs start burning as you break the speed of light. The bus doors are closing and the bus stop is across the street, but there are cars in the way. You furiously slide over cars and jump over trucks, as you jump over the bus and get to the door, everything slows down, time has no meaning now, everything stops. You cant believe, you dont want to believe your brain, your eyes. Your feelings and dreams start crushing as you realize your life has just crushed. The door has closed, and you start thinking about your mom, furiously ripping you into peices as she throws you in a black hole. Then you start feeling again, time is flowing, your not dead yet. You still have a chance, the wheels arent spinning yet. You start to collect power on your legs, time isnt stopped but its really slow. You feel the power in your legs as you get ready to kick the door. You pull your feet up and just as your about to push all that power in to the bus door, the driver opens the door, you rush in, sit down, and realize you didnt wear your pants.
I've enjoyed this for as long as I can remember. Still gives me shivers. Still pumps me up. Still makes me cry, kinda, just a little bit sometimes... What a beautiful and powerful composition 👏 ✌️❤️🇨🇦🤪
My social studies teacher in middle school was a conspiracy theory fanatic (which none of minded) and would play conspiracy videos for the class when we had done all or work or when we had done well as a class, the videos always had this track in them. I’ve been in love with it ever since.
Una de las mejores bandas sonoras de la historia (incluso por encima de la propia película, esto es otro nivel) Transmite la desesperación, el vértigo, el drama, la tragedia, y también un amor infinito, esto me mata y me devuelve a la vida después.
Hahahhaha is music completely compatible with acedint or End of life or horror sights in hearts of people Darkness days , God Punch's or even war start , is only for those situations who's with me say yes and like please , let's upload nice music with hopes not sad ,
This is like my favorite score from a movie. I haven’t even seen the movie barely saw it like a couple of days ago like 30 minutes and oh my. The best. This speaks in ways that no movie score has done for me.
+Filip Kastl (Pheeck) Thats true, but I always refer to this as a song from Inception and then have to correct myself. It would just fit in so well, I think.
A lot of this song 3:32 onwards is frickin PERFECT for a Star Wars lightsaber battle! It's perfect for a fast paced one like Anikan vs Obi-Wan on Mustafar!
