For whatever reason I always turn the Luxe off because the button isn't recessed enough. Also DLX did a lasered version of the TM40, where it had Tim's birthday, etc. There was a number of them where they mispelled February, like over 100, which is real paintball thing to do.
Soooo glad to see another video drop! Big fan of your reviews! I really don't mind the ergonomics/feel of these but I do wish they had full wrap-around rubber grips like on the CS2/pro. I am not a big glove guy and the rubber just makes sense in these areas for grip and reducing wear. I am also not a huge fan of the trigger but could deal with it if I had to. I find that ASA lever extremely annoying as I typically store/keep my markers with the tank and loader on. The Voice thing was cool when it first came out but these days it is kind of cheesy. In regards to the mech/electro frame transition, I actually swap between those about every other weekend on my CS2 Pro. I just purchased the extra ASA/reg piston so it is a quick two screw swap. This seems comparatively convenient.
Thinking about getting back in to it. Liking the content 👌. Lots have changed since my sp ion w/virtue board. I regret letting all my podpacks and old masks. Sheesh it's gonna be an expensive hobbie again lol
These things pretty much need tape on the foregrip and benfit more from a deuce than probably any other marker because it addresses the main reason you gave for disliking the stock trigger, that it just doesnt sit far enough forward in the frame and feels awkward unless you claw it. With a deuce and some tape on the foregrip, they're really great shooting, super light and very pretty markers.
I own a adrenaline luxe and I find myself switching frames all the time walk off the xball field and can change my marker over to mech on my way over to play rec ball. It’s awesome. I’ve shot close to 250k out of it and have only broke 2 balls. That’s amazing.
One more thing.. Have you ever considered wearing a silicon ring during filming? I remember you mentioning that you were nervous about scratching a previous marker, yet it didn’t scratch.. But hearing that metal on metal during the video scares me as a viewer lol, I know you’d never intentionally damage a product or anything like that, just an idea. :)
@@airtimepaintball463 Thanks for the response man, means a lot coming from someone I watch so often. Keep up the amazing work, you’re the first guy I go to for my info. :)
I bought a Luxe X and I absolutely adore it, I love the way the ergos feel compared to the pe and dye markers. I think and I hope I made the right choice. I’m taking it out to play on Sunday and comparing it to my etek 4 and xls
Hey, thanks for watching! I sincerely hope you love it, because that's a pile of cash just to end up unhappy. Report back after you get to play with it!
i like the way my dye m3 feels more than my x, the ul is the best grip frame i like the way luxes point the ergo is nice i have no real problem with it but its def not as comfortable as a dye gun imo
@@airtimepaintball463 hey sorry I forgot to reply to this! But I loved the shot of my luxe x. It’s soft yet poppy at the same time, and if you keep it well maintained it’s pretty reliable (not pe reliable but still). I got about 11-12 pods on an 80/4500, and I love the ergos of it. It’s crazy consistent over the chrono, and I just love the thing. I could see why someone doesn’t like them considering sp’s history but I think it’s a great marker. I’m considering selling my xls and picking up a luxe ice
@@lonelyboysole I have bigger hands so the ul can feel a bit weird at times but I totally get why people like them. I’ve never shot an m3 but I’d absolutely love to have one, they look sick as hell
Personally the ergos are part of the reason I came back to the luxe platform. It helps I also prefer the shots of the DLX/SP cores as opposed to the gammas. I know it’s a copy but something about the shot is more satisfying to me, add the ergos of the luxe to that and you have a winner in my book.
Not a fan of the trigger for the same reason you describe. The trigger hinge point should have been further back into the grip, or have had an adjustable rake. That combination makes it very meh for walking. I did not have the same experience with the feedback fitting on my CTRL, Spire 4, or R2, so I don't know what's up with that. Electro-wise I'd still prefer to use my M3. To be fair, 3 years later I still haven't found an electro I feel is better and it isn't for lack of trying everything on the market. Mechanical (IMO where this marker really shines), the TM40 is an absolutely incredible balance of raw speed, shot feel, trigger feedback, ergs, efficiency, and paint handling. It's the first thing I've outright preferred to an unlimited FLE EMEK build.
Luxe stand for Luxury and it definitely is in many ways; voice, the way it looks, shot quality, easy frame removal, but there are some things that need updating for sure.
I agree with the trigger that it could use a little work. With long fingers feels too small. Had to buy a infamous duce trigger to make the trigger comfortable to use. The stock Tigger is very awkward. The plastics and rubber are just plastic and rubber to me. If you have sweaty hands all the time then buy the rubber front grip. I agree 1500 it could come with a rubber front grip and couple more inserts. Outside of this it could use some improvements. Over I am happy with mine.
As a cs2 pro owner. I has a chance to shoot a virtue ace and adrenaline luxe and while I loved how light the virtue ace was compared to my cs2 , the shot was not that impressive but I liked the board. Now the adrenaline luxe shot was great and I'm sucker for the talking board. It was not enough for me to want to sell my cs2 pro at this time and switch over to the luxe markers.
That front grip insert you speak of around 17:00 does not fit the TM40 my solution has just been hockey tape and the same for when I owned an AMP. helps a TON
@@myrontodd1436 a little late to the punch but, i bought the adrenaline mech frame and have been using it alot and have had zero issues, the front latch if you tighten those a tad the frame works perfect!
I dont WITF guys that profess to pontificate reviews bag on PE's aluminum gun cases. If I want a shit gun case Ill buy an Axe that doesn't even come with one. Honestly Exalt sells gun cases for 20 bucks. Better that my aluminum gun case gets a scratch on it than my gun. Oh dear I might have to slap a sticker on the case to personalize it. Why dont you mention to the veiwers how impressions get pressed into these supposed carbon fiber colored cardboard cases from fittings or any thing else in your gear bag putting weight on them. Honestly the aluminum case that provides is a selling point with me and alot of other people I ask as well. After all if your cases is durable and the company provides you with one to protect your investment Im all for it. The fact that PE spends time to make there customer with a durable case sends the message of durability and what are PE markers known for??? I rest my case. You need to reaquire reality an reacess your objectivity. Otherwise you may find yourself talking to yourself into a camera because I for one am no longer listening.
So...a 40 minute review of the Luxe TM40, and what you took away was that you disagree with me about PE cases being crap? Those are some strong feelings about a marker case! It's still the worst one in paintball, maybe ever, but I'm glad you like em!
On the subject of barrels and inserts, IMO it should come with all of them for that price. Now yes, if you’re in a position to purchase one of these or a similar high end gun, then you probably already have a barrel kit, but then why include an insert at all?
