That mini multicolour speedy is the cutest thing ever! I was in my early to mid teens when the multicolour came out, so I couldn't afford it, and have always been yearning for it.
The discoloration of the front pocket on the multicolor speedy started when the bags were 1st released . The yellowing of the pocket and the pink bleeding of the pocket were 2 different issues. The yellowing was caused by the glue that they used and now they don't use that glue anymore so if you get a bag that's after 2008 You will not have the pocket yellowing issue. The red pink Discoloration was caused by the dye that they used on the interior Combined with the glueThat they used on the front edges of the pocket Causing that crazy bleeding reaction. 😳 If you buy a bag that's date code after 2009 you will no longer have that problem .😁 . Also the green mold as you called it on your zipper is the greening that natural brass does. It's like the brass dust and even though the zipper is only brass plated it's still turns the outer material a green color with use. 🤨😍
I always heard that LV would repair the yellowing pockets on MC bags due to it being considered a defect. The most recent report I’ve seen of LV repairing this bag for free is 2019 on TPF
Wow thank you for the detailed info. I just bought mine from Fashionphile. It was made in 2004. Gosh as of now the bag is nice and white! No yellowing and no bleeding. I do wonder if the front pocket was changed. The vachetta on the pocket is a tad lighter then the rest of the vachetta so obviously that part of the vachetta was changed. I hope the pocket was changed out for my sake. Overall the bag looks about 1 year old! Whomever had it didn't use it much.
I just stumbled across this video and your channel. I really love how you jump straight into your videos and are very direct with your word economy. I feel like so many RU-vidrs sacrifice content and basically ramble for the sake of making a longer video. It was so refreshing to watch and I feel like you delivered exactly what you promised in your title.
I love the LV luggage pieces. However, I’d never use It for airline travel, especially internationally. You’re setting yourself up to potentially be robbed. Also, the rampers/ baggage people throw the bags around, because they don’t have the time to be careful. LV is a target to be gone through,and have items stolen. I recently got rid of my Turenne MM, St. Cloud GM, Insolite wallet, and a Burberry bag. Great video, TFS.

Oh sis! I would sell all of those bags too! I thought I would love the favorite mm but when my friend got it, I saw how uncomfortable carrying it. The magnetic closure isn’t strong enough to close the flap and it says in the middle of the bag. Doesn’t really look nice. Chanel Maxi flap is way too big and the LV Pegase would hurt my shoulder too looking at it. I won’t regret it too if I were you. Thank you for sharing this. It’s very helpful so others who wants to get these bags wouldn’t have to experience the same things you experienced. 😉😉

Love my Favorite MM!! I have never had a problem with the flap closure. And I love wearing it for date night without the cross body strap. 😀 Use it way more than my Alma PM.
I’ve said this many times, Metallic bags are not long lasting, they always rub off by looking at the second hand market but people still want to buy them

I really love this video, I just sold my LV favorite bag as well. The magnetic closure was good but I was so scared my things would fall out. Chanel may be able to repaint your clutch, metallic is so pretty but have to baby it, lol. I LOVE ALL YOUR VIDS!!! :D

I sold my multicolour speedy too because the red interior stained the white areas of my bag and it looked horrible. I was devastated as it was my dream bag to own when I was 14, it was for the best though because even before the staining happened I only used it once or twice as I found the colours hard to style
For the zipper on your multicolor, it's just color transfer from the tarnishing of the metal zipper -- I had the same thing. Make a paste of baking soda and water, apply with a q-tip, and let it sit for 10 minutes or so, then gently scrub with a toothbrush. Wipe off and use a damp paper towel to remove any residue. Repeat as needed. I was able to get my zipper rail looking like new after doing this process a few times.

I’m glad I stumbled upon this video because my dad bought the multicolour white and black Rift crossbody for my sister and I many years ago and we (well I...) weren’t into LV at that time so the bags were sitting in the closet for many years. I recently took my sister’s (white) bag out and I noticed the bleeding (I thought it was only me having that issue). I asked LV if it was repairable and unfortunately they said no. The bag is literally in mint condition despite the bleeding... and sadly it only happened on the front side too... I’m so upset...
Wow! I never thought you were Filipina! No wonder you remind me of Anna Baile, famous Filipina model in the US. Same here, I'm a tote freak! But I'm not too careful with my bags so even if I'm lusting over CD's Toile de Jouy totes, I'm pretty sure it will somehow fray from me rubbing the tote to my jeans. Thank you for this on the white multi color! I've always wanted one! I do have a pink alma bb with a white strap with black LVs on it and the strap itself is turning a dingy yellow. It's so weird and gross. The handles on the bb are also white with black LVs and that's not turning yellow, which I find so strange. I took out the strap from the yellow dust bag because I thought perhaps that was doing it. I'm so sad....the strap doesn't even look the same color as the handles now...so weird!
That’s why I would never buy a high fashion luggage: I would be always afraid that it would be damaged or somebody would steal it because of the brand.

The green on the zipper looks like brass patina. Brass contains copper so it can turn green like that over time. A brass cleaner applied with a q-tip should be able to take it off. You might want to use a toothpick to get it out from between the zipper teeth too.
This was a really helpful video. I've wanted a white multicolor like the Jessica Simpson you mentioned at the end and had no idea about the pocket yellowing or the interior color bleeding through. With such an expensive bag, I never would have imagined something like that would happen. It's kind of ridiculous. I just got my first LV bag, a new Alma BB Monogram and I've been researching like crazy about how to best prep the vachetta and was curious if you recommend using Apple garde? I love how light the vachetta is and want to keep it that way for as long as possible. Thanks for educating me!
Yeah, I have been seriously considering selling my Artsy Empreinte--it weighs a ton, even empty, and I therefore never use it--only thing stopping me is that it was my first LV purchase so it's a bit sentimental.

Lol I have the opposite reason for liking the favorite mm over pochette accessoires as it’s only flap and is easy to open and close even at times when my fingers are dirty, hands full of stuffs or just plain sweaty and I needed my tissue pack or keys and a flip with my Palm does the job while I have no way to open the pochette accessoires with dirty or sweaty fingers so I still prefer favorite mm. But then it’s great to hear your views on it.
I have a speedy multicolore and the pocket turned reddish. I tried having it fixed in 2011 but they said that they stopped fixing that problem for that bag. It is a well known issue. So I wear it every now and then but I do baby it.
Yes I’ve seen some in terrible condition from these known defects - mine wasn’t too bad bc I didn’t use it a lot and always kept it in its dust bag, but it would only get worse so I had to part ways. It’s a beautiful bag, enjoy! Thanks so much for watching 💞🤗

I don't know much about LV materials, but I am guessing, that the "green mold" is probably just aged copper. So maybe it would've looked better in time, if the bag was a shade of green.
Just found you! Love your videos! I have the white multicolor speedy. I got it about a year ago. Mine is not red inside... so hopefully it won't do that. It is really a heavy bag though but i love it.
I also have a metallic Gucci doctors bag. I've had it a long time, but the metallic does come off with use. It's the same with the damier azur and others...it does rub off over time and usage.
I have the same white monogram in the Speedy 30 and 45. Both of them are doing as she said 🙁. Mine aren't turning yellow, but the red interior does fade off into the white. I won't ever sell mine though.
I own the accessories, the favorite and a felicie. Thé accessories is the better choice but I love the look of the favorite. I did not know about the Chanel metallics!

I am not into expensive handbags. I found a Louis Vuitton one by chance, but it has a broken zipper. Any ideas on how to sell it? Is it best to sell "as is" or fix the zipper? I am leary leaving it with anyone.
LV may be abe to repair the zipper for you, however I don't think they're taking repairs at the moment due to the pandemic so I recommend checking with them soon!

Green metal discolouration is normally copper patina, which forms when copper is exposed to air / water (like when cheap jewellery turns your skin green). Disappointed to see such cheap metal on a Louis Vuitton product!
