This moveable mechanism is a safety feature, so that when no one's around the pool, it can be raised and small kid's won't fall into the pool etc. The floor can be "parked" as well, so that the water is very shallow and the small ones can play in it.
That's fucking amazing! You could have a full size underground pool in a small backyard and still not worry about having usable space for BBQing or sports
@tboy221 This pool was built in a central London property where even properties under 100 sq meters cost more than what most people earn in a lifetime. Since there's no real back garden for this house, just a small patio area where they do BBQs and stuff, it's a good idea to have a small functional swimming pool that can disappear by the push of a button.
@MrReptileOG :) there's a safety hatch next to the pool that is tiled over, so you can't see it, but allows you to go under the floor if you have to for whatever reasons.
Still love to ride in my Grandpa's restored 1965 GTO, listening to BloodRock, the 1910 Fruitgum Co., and "Go tell Alice" on his 8 track! I don't hate '60s crap, it just makes me think of old people.
Only issues would be if their is any filth on the floor that is moved (such as dirt, leaves, sand, etc) it would wind up in the pool. I wonder if the water can be pre-heated for a specific amount of time before the pool is lowered? So that way it'll be warm-enough the second you get in (I personally hate cold swimming pools)
@tboy221 This a great idea for a small garden space but of course iot doesnt suit you because it's not 'big' enough. How many people actually swim in their pools anyway? almost none they splash and play and for those who wnt to swim, I see a stream generator
i thought it would have been morelikewise if this platform would move itself to the reight or left, above. instead of going under. idk how long this pump is gonna take it, the amount of wieght of water is huge. E6
like it but here in NZ we have pool fence issues and yeah probably wouldn't get a council permit because of the hand/foot/neck getting stuck thing ..................nice concept though, very Bond!
the swim jet creates a current for you to swim against so you remain more or less stationary they're great for people in the city who don't have space for a pool... and really for fitness a backyard pool isn't that great anyways - unless you want to have to turning every 6 strokes
@FrapsYou really?! oh gosh i love london! only been there once but its amazing in my eyes, the buildings oh gosh the people everything about it is just wonderful!!
Imagine no more leafs in your pool, unwanted guests, wildlife and never wondering again why you got a pool when you're giving bbq-parties and your backyard turns out to be too small XD If I get into a house-with-garden of my own I'll sure consider!
Ooooooh man, that is soooo cool! I mean like, serious-James-Bond-villain-cool. As soon as I have a few Mil to spare, You'll be getting a call from me. How do the moving parts even keep working, waiting then operating in all that water?? Crazy cool.
i think its not much of a pool at all. i thought my pool was a bit small but this one pretty much sucks. i dont use my pool for exercise. i use it to invite people over bbq and pool party, set up the volleyball net basketball hoop and play and have lots of fun.
@pianoplayeruk i use my pool for play and splashing and some swimming. its mainly a focus point for hosting parties and inviting friends/family to play. i posted a video of my pool though i just moved in this year 2011 i havent hosted any parties yet.
have a pool without sacraficing garden space use it if you have disabled kids to lower them into the pool set the depth of the water depending on whos in it so shallow for little kids deep for adults keep leaves out the pool easily fill the pool with acid and lower a helpless maiden in it to see if superman turns up the possibilites are endless
Ive got exactly the same one. Only with granite floor Before lowering te floor make sure its clean i always use my karcher Sow youre not saving any money on water 😅
well your not supposed to be in it when its moving (obviously) and regular pools have filters in wich you can get entrapt too soo I wouldn't think its any more dangerous ,just way cooler
algea would need sunlight to grow so i wouldnt imagine that would be the best place for it to grow but if it did then i imagine it would flow around the sides and or the floor would simply lift off the raising mechanism
Not sure if everybody here noticed the adjustable stream generator? you can get in the pool and swim against the stream continuously... so that you don't need to do laps in it :)
I prefer the phrase: "A fool and their money will soon be parted." Well, at least the plumbers, concrete workers, and other craftsman made some money to help their families.
