Luz Noceda - The BEST Chosen One | The Owl House 

Luz is such a breath of fresh air in animated protagonists! the owl house is special to me for a lot of reasons but having Luz be this silly, kind hearted kid who so many of the people i know and love can relate to on any number of levels will forever be so important.

I have hope that we will see Luz, Eda and King someday in the future. The Owl House holds a special place in my heart and characters like Luz, Eda and King are relatable to me.

A solid video that made alott of good and solid points, the owl hojse is a wodnerful series for many reasons and Luz certiantly was a new type of choosen one that changed the trope for the better

What I like most about Luz's path towards becoming her own "chosen one" is that in spite of EVERYTHING, she never lost herself. In spite of all the grief her peers put her through in the Human Realm, the struggles she endured on the Isles, learning that her greatest inspiration (Phillip Whittibane) was actually her greatest enemy, inadvertently setting several events into motion through her venture into the past and essentially DYING...Luz remained the same quirky gal we knew from Episode One. Granted, she DID go through a great deal of character growth from start to finish but most protagonists end up sacrificing everything they were in the name of "growing up/maturing." Just look at what happened to Steven Universe by the time Future rolled around or look at all the iterations of Batman, a "hero" who severs any and every meaningful bond he has because he's afraid of "losing them"

This is a truly ENGAGING piece of media. I got nothing specific to say beyond I'm happy I brought up The Sword in the Stone during your brainstorming.

That Disney executive Gary Marsh who said that the owl house doesn’t fit the Disney brand is a pathetic excuse for a human being. The Owl House does fit the Disney brand because to me it has great themes of found family, friendship and acceptance of being different from everyone else. This show to me is classic Disney animation for the modern era. I’m glad Gary Marsh got kicked out of Disney and replaced by Ayo Davis.

A lot of chosen ones could never do or be what they are chosen for without all the good and bad people they met along the way to help them grow or become worthy in some way of being chosen. In this, Luz makes both amazing friends and some enemies that help her grow into someone more responsible all the whole never losing her core identity. Yes, at some point she suffered for it but that just made her more relatable. Just like in "The Neverending Story" movie, we went through the journey, we got closer because we had to go through the same joys and suffering as the characters to become immersed in the world. When you think about it, Luz and the others on her journey were written with so much care and that even years after the end of the series, people can still analyze and talk about some new angle is amazing as there are some animated shows with more seasons that don't get this kind of love and attention to what makes not just the show amazing but each of the characters as well. That alone speaks volumes about the world that we were given by Dana. I am sad that Dana didn't get a chance to give us more but it is what is is unfortunately.
