Hi, Thanks for your review! It was very helpful in making my decision. I just received this bag yesterday and I love it, but the canvas is very stiff. My SA said it is meant to be that way to protect the structure of the bag. Still it's a bit rough to the touch and dry feeling (if that makes sense). I also feel the top leather flap and canvas are a bit dull looking in color. Did you notice this? I don't know if it is just the one i got & to exchange it or if this model is just like that. For reference mine is Made in France. Any comments on the canvas of your Montsouris are appreciated!!
Hi there! Congratulations on your new purse! The canvas on mine was stiff at first but not very stiff when I first got it. It was just the normal not-yet-used kind if that makes sense 😅. Now it’s softer with use but not too soft that it’s lost its shape. I stuff mine with air paper when storing the bag. As for the color, i noticed it wasn’t shiny at first, but if you feel like it’s off, maybe have it replaced? We should be happy with our luxury purchases ☺️. I exchanged minee because of the excess glue, laquering and the dirt inside the bag. By the way, what did you get? The one with the treated vachetta or the same as mine?
@@myangelkisses12 Hi, thanks so much for your response! I got the exact same one as you. Bag twinsies 😂 I love the look & i feel it is not as high maintenance as the natural vachetta. Also, what got me was the pop of color in the interior 😍 After comparing it carefully to my other canvas pieces i see the canvas color and texture is different in all of them & that’s ok. I purchased it through client services so after I posted this question I called to discuss it with them & they did inform me this came from a distribution warehouse, not a store, so it is brand new. That makes sense that it being brand new it will be more stiff and will soften with use. It needs to “breathe” a little I suppose. The bag alignment, glazing and everything else is great so I definitely want to keep it! Sorry long post, but yes we definitely need to be happy with our luxury purchases.
