I don't like that the temperature probe is located right by the heating element. Isn't it dangerous to be heating lye solution up??? Thank you for sharing.

You could also use a smart plug adapter with internet and set a timer on that too

I love your videos. And i have a question for you if you kindly reply it. The removal of soda ash is easy for bar soaps as they have the basic shape.. how do you remove soda ash from the soaps which are more decorated like cupcakes soap etc?

Ariane, for the threaded nipple that directs the lye solution downwards instead of splashing all over, you did not use pipe seal. I just to confirm that it is okay to not use pipe seal on that last piece?

Hi Ariane, I have a question in connection to the lye solution in the tank: do you have base oils you use for every batch of soap? I'm guessing you would need to in order to know the exact water to lye ratio for the tank or does that even matter? If not, then how do you know the lye solution ratio will fit for your batches? I still make small batches and measure using soap calc but I can see myself growing into needing a tank for my oils and lye solution. ( sorry, that was 3 questions lol)

I would think so, so that you wouldn't have lye buildup on the heating element

A quick rinse is all it takes to clean out the tank and start over. 😊

Always keep the instruction manual for especially electronic matters and other things you need to put together. Suddenly you stand there one day and need to know something, eg a lost screw or something else that is wrong. Understand it's not as easy to read and / or follow them, but gather everything in one place. Then you have them when you suddenly come up with a product that needs a repair. (Applies whether it is soap-related or a sofa. Learned the hard way, one flat with IKEA furniture. Screws not assembled in own bags and not a manual for any furniture, before all was on the shop's homepage or youtube, but who knows?)

The only thing that I would think would work, is if you mixed this as a 1:1 Water:Lye.

Masterbatch. Temps que tu sais la quantité de soude qu'il te faut pour saponifier tes huiles, tu peux préparer ta solution à l'avance en la diluants au pourcentage que tu préfère et voilà, y'a plus qu'à servir au moment voulu ^^
