People win against greed everyday but it only takes one person losing to destroy a perfect world. Its why in such a prosperous era it is only the few who truly bask in prosperity
I don't think I will lose to greed because I am poor and honestly I don't even know what I would do with a bunch of money buy a house? If I already had a house with someone I cared about I would probably end up sharing it with them and donate some of it too.
@@loserinasuit7880 The lawyer could have helped her keep everything if she'd told the husband sooner instead of hiding it for years. He meant the husband. She didn't lie to the lawyer
Imagine the feeling the husband felt, when he found out wife divorced him outta nowhere just because of a lottery, his marriage he believed was based on love was nothing but lie.
@@WilliamRWarrenJr is this translated from another language? because you're speaking differently. why do you put -unit? "hubby" is not a word i know. ???
Imagine how she felt when she finally had the money to leave his probably abusive ass only for him to ruin it again if my wife left me I ain’t gonna ruin her live cause I’m not some narcissist abuser
A lot of people only seem to be 'good' because they don't have the money to be expressly evil. That is so long as the law is enforced at least somewhat equally. If the law isn't being enforced at all, they'll just be as bad as they want.
Money. Changes. People. Don't kid yourself. I let my third and FINAL ex-wife actually get her name on the paperwork for my house when I needed to get a loan to repair the roof. I don't own the house anymore.

depends. at least in germany a lawyer CANT argue with your innocence IF he knows you are guilty. He CAN, of course, argue with "someone else could have done it" but he CANT argue you are innocence. so, a lawyer have to disclose the winning IMMEDIATLY.
@@Asmodis4The lawyer doesn't have to disclose anything, in fact, he is prohibited in doing so. It's in one's best interest to tell one's lawyer the whole extent of truth. That’s absolutely insane. Good on the judge for giving all the money to him!! He must’ve been heartbroken after that 😢 Edit: wow there is a war going on in the comments lol

Money brings out the true person. When a good person gets money they do good with it, when a greedy person gets money their greed becomes far more visible.
Frustrated about how little her husband makes so she buys lottery tickets. Gambling and greed. No matter how much money you have, it's one of the rare combinations that can cause you to lose it all.
uh no it wins a lot. look at every corporation with low pay for their employees ever. also being greedy is fine in moderation how else are you supposed to succeed? just don't be evil about it, it's not a sin to use nature that we were granted upon creation
Well it is a sin, but according to the bible you can have and even beat your slaves....so that is the book you take your morals from?! Then good night.

Please don't use "witch" as an insult. Same word starting with b maybe? Witches were persecuted, tortured and murdered in huge numbers yet we believe the narrative put forth by their murderers that they were somehow evil.
I think many people missing the last part. If she had even told her own lawyer about it, the lawyer could have still worked around not having it in the alimony. Her willful retraction of the lotto was really cold and meticulous Also in the US, you must never lie to your lawyer and your paramedic. They both work for your interest
@@Yadobler I doubt winnings from a ticket purchased during the marriage would not be a communal asset and shared 50:50. I think the lawyer said that to rub salt in the wound.
Imagine being married to someone you love and then leaving them behind because you wanted a million dollars to yourself?! WOW! Sickening. Someone stuck by you for 25yrs and you wouldn’t want to share that money with THAT person?! I am soo happy he was given the whole lottery winning!
That's why she lost. She didn't disclose the lottery winnings since it's already entitled to her, she already own it. And divorce cases like this, you have to disclose everything you own. From where you are getting your money, how much money you have, what items you own, etc. If you lie or undisclosed what you actually have, the ramification is more severe than just saying the truth. Like what happened here, she didn't disclose it and now the husband practically owns all of her winnings now.
She might have held the ticket until after the divorce, so it wouldn't be in her bank. You have a limited time to claim, hence the sudden desire to divorce. Chances are she would have been found out anyway.
People need to not get married unless they are prepared to deal with these consequences. You should see your partner as a part of you so if he is making little, then consider yourself making little and work towards getting better for both of you. She had money on a silver platter. How selfish she was to not share it.
She'd have to pay spousal support, that's the reason she didn't divorce him sooner. She was paying him every month but now hopefully she doesn't have to anymore since he got the million
@mspaint93 Completely wrong, although you will find lawyers who conduct themselves that way. Lawyers are officers of the court and cannot knowingly let you perjure yourself.
@@mspaint93 If this were my first day on earth, your reply would surprise me. As it is, I know the internet is full of people who speak about things they know absolutely nothing about. It is your husband! You’re a team, you should be willing to give up everything for the other person. Divorce rates and male/female hatred rising is so sad.😔
It's not sad at all because it's the bad marriages that are ending. We don't have to stay married just because these days. And honestly it sounds like these two didn't need to be together regardless!
She was never really frustrated about his income and just needed the excuse, hence his confusion. She just won the lotto and her Instagram dreams took over.
If I remember correctly; that's just how the law works. Any property that is kept hidden during a divorce will be awarded to the ex-partner by default. It's to prevent people from hiding stuff, like this woman did.
That's the problem we have in society, when the man makes more than the women no one says anything. When Women make more than men, now that's a problem...

apparently the divorce agreement that her lawyer drafted had a provision that if any property was hidden to avoid splitting it fairly, 100% of that property went to the other side. In most cases a reasonable clause to stop any ratfuckery on either side. Well, she was the one playing games so it bit her in the ass, and if she had told her lawyer that clause could have been left out.
She didn't only not tell her husband, she didn't tell the court or lawyers when she divorced. Her divorce had an agreement that all property was listed and if there was any other property the other person would pay the value... Her lawyer probably put that in, not knowing about this. Cause the other guy had no representation.
I honestly feel so badly for men. They’re treated like absolute garbage by society. I can’t imagine throwing away my marriage for something as selfish as money. She’d probably have zero issue if he made more money than her though. And if she found out he won the lottery and then divorced her she’d hire a cutthroat lawyer and take everything from him. @@personalspace6270yep but in these cases, at least from what I've seen, specifically in divorce or abuse cases the woman's word is often seen as absolute while the man needs to provide evidence,or in this case women are heavily favoured meaning they get more money or don't have to pay things like child support, while men in their cases would have to
Always have a prenup that says lottery winnings are separate if you regularly play the lottery. Everyone will sign it. No huge fights in a marriage is a bad sign.
Just know that 25 years marriage is a long time and there's no way they don't have huge fight in their 25 years. People always be like, "OMG This women is so greedy for wanting every single penny!" And then also say "If i get a lottery, i will never tell anyone, not even my family, i am keeping everything" Bro, you are the same
Hypocrites where? If I won the lottery I wouldn't tell anyone because i don't have anyone in my life who needs to know. The woman in the video, tho, had two people who should know: her husband, and when she divorced him, the judge.
The lesson to take away from this is that judges _really_ hate when you mess with the justice system and will punish you severely if you fuck around, as this woman found out.
