Thanks for the video guys. It’s awesome to be able to see exactly how these loads shoot. As a quick follow up from my comment on a past video regarding the maximum amount of LongShot to load behind the DGS Thunderbolt slug (which is available at Ballistic Products), I call Ballistic Products this morning and spoke to a really nice guy over there regarding the maximum powder load for this slug and he filled out a request form for their ‘lab’ to load these slugs with a little more aggressive powder charges and then post the results in their ‘Load of the week’ column. The representative did say that they were backed up a little with requests, but would eventually get to it. I’m excited to see what they come up with. I’ll keep you guys posted.
We have the slug wads. I can use them in straight wall too if I flare the seal or add a layer of paper towel. I’m really wanting to see how the slug wad will do I can’t wait.
Some really nice groups. Appreciate the info on wad issues. That load using Remington hulls looked good & recoil looked mild. Good info! Cant wait to see it at 80yds. 👍🙏💥
Love all your slug videos. Could you do some in 16, 32, 24 and .410? Like the best loads you have come up with, and try them in ballistic jell or something to see what they do and look like after terminal performance. Wet paper or water jugs work also to catch the slugs.
Ill have to pick one of these scopes up, never bought a factory new one. On another note I had my first shell expansion * brass blew up. I have a sas12 mag fed and what I think happened was a piece of brass got wedged in my bolt now it wont move at all. Any tip of how to fix it? Ive already called 2 gunsmiths who said they will check it out. I beat the think with a rubber mallet and made 0 progress and the barrel wont come off. Thanks for the great range vid!

I have a Remington 12ga 870 Wingmaster with the custom 24" smooth bore rifled slug barrel. The best slugs that it shoots and works best for deer is the cheaper Breneke K O slugs. Problem is I cant find them anywhere here in upstate NY. I was wondering and hoping that you could reload a shell to match it as close as possible, so that I could make my own. Can't order bullets through the mail here in NY.😢
You have to have ammo sent to an ffl holder which would be you’re nearest gun shop. The ko slugs are everywhere here. I’m pretty sure the goodell shotshell company makes a very similar slugs to reloading.
@@kennethkrieb3018 I’m pretty sure he meant a smooth bore barrel for rifled slugs. Probably has open iron sights and fixed cylinder bore. I have one in 10 gauge.

Yeah we know. Could use a mag primer too. We will be doing this again with the claybuster slug wads, should be fun. The 12s3 is not a good slug wad for rifled barrels.
