I'm in a wheelchair and have seen 3 lymphedema therapists with no results. It's hard for me to do the things they suggested because of mobility issues they didn't understand. I only got worse. When you said in the video that you may feel something moving or draining, I was beyond thrilled. My abdomen is so bad on one side that I can't wear underwear and even compression garments don't fit right because it's only on that one side. Now I have a fighting chance. Thank you so much!
I usually recommend people diagnosed with lymphedema do this 1-2 times a day, and make sure to do LOTS of the lymphatic breathing. That's key to moving fluid up out of the lower extremities.
I have found your videos a massive help. Clear explanations + descriptions make such a difference. I look forward to watching and practising your new videos soon.
Thank you so much for sharing Heather. I found your presentation to be very clear and easy to follow. I recently had microsurgery on my lower back and have been having migraine headaches for the past 2 weeks. After doing the upper and lower lymphatic massage I was tasting the medicine and all I wanted to do was spit. After 10 minutes my headache is almost gone and nausea is subsiding. Great video and I can't wait to do these massages daily.
Hi Heather, thank you so much for the videos, I have moderate to severe lymphedema of both lower legs, feet and ankles mostly and your 3 video series for the lower extremities helped so much. I got a so so and expensive massage recently from a lymph expert lmt, your self massge was better. Forever grateful, Dea xx
Hello Heather, THANK YOU for your u-tube video. Just doing the massage while watching your video was helpful to me. The brathing exercise was very informative and I will use it daily. Thanks again,
Very helpful. Thanks, Heather. My Homeopath/GP told me my lymphatic system was struggling. I thought I'd see what was online and that's when I found your massages. They got results that I could feel right away.
Wow! I've had right should pain for three weeks from gardening. I just did your arm drainage, first on my non painful side, then the painful side. It hurt as I pumped my arm pit, did not at the elbow and when I came back to the arm pit on the sore side - it wasn't sore! I am moving it all around trying to find the pain, but I can't find it. !!!! thank you. I will try your abdomin exercises later. I feel like I need a big glass of water and a quick nap. Thank You!!
Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge Heather. Some recommend a lymphatic massage after tummy tuck. Would this be the method you would use for that?
Thank you. I suffer from Dercum Disease. MLD is something I will have to do forever. The breathing techniques are great. I want to become as informed as possible. My PT is doing most of the massages but due to pain caused by disease it is very difficult to progress. Thank You again
Thank you for the excellent video presentation. Very easy to follow. I have one question Heather. Explain how the lymphatic drainage is good for your body? I have started with the upper body, head and neck, arm area but will move down to the chest next. Thank you again for your great presentation.
Everything you do is great, but I still have a very harsh pressure in my head, especially on top of my head. I have problems with this ALL THE TIME, and that is the only place I can't do anything about.
You are good . I am a massage therapist as well I had a neck injury in 2012. C5 c6 c all bulged. I have narrowing rt foramen has cause right arm weaknesses. Do you any pointers while I heal myself. I want to get back to feeling well so I can ccontinue to help people feel well.
Question: My Fibromyalgia is so bad, I can't really reach up to the trapezius as you do it. Is it okay to use the opposite hand and do one side at a time? Or, would that cause some negative effect? Thank you for your time.
Hi Heather- I just had a session of body talk and she said that my lymphatic drainage in my abdomen is not really working. Three weeks ago I was diagnosed with a blood clot in my gonadal vein on my right side. Should I do abdominal lymphatic massage if I have had a clot? Thanks!
I have excess fluid and a heartbeat feeling on my left side only, with discomfort from my head to my hip on the left side from knots in my jaw, neck, and shoulder and back pain in my left hip could this be caused by the lymph system? and if so should I work more on the left side or still equally? It has been going on for almost two years so I could use some relief. Thanks, Randy
Hi Heather, Excellent videos. I have had lots of throat clearing and dizziness with this massage. Is there any books or type doctors you can recommend for lymphatic problems. I have been sick for a very long time and haven't found much luck in getting it properly diagnosed. I have inflammation throughout my body, food allergies, very painful feet, poor sleep, pain in the solar plexus, swollen stomach. Wish I lived in Louisville.
It made me very tingly, all over, especially on left side, leading up my lead to my jaw! Is this normal? It even messed with my vision in that eye for a second
Is it weird if I can't feel my chest rise at all when i breathe? I just do the stomach part, but i can't tell if my chest rises or falles (I don't think it does). So I've just been doing the stomach part
