The mans a monster hahaha the only thing i dislike is his picking technique especially in the early days and theonly reason is my hand cramps just looking at it lol
I grew up in south Texas during what I call the Wild Wild West era of heavy metal guitar players. They roamed the alleys like gangsters. These guys wanted blood every time they touched the axe. George, in my opinion, tops all but Randy Rhoads in terms of technique and stylistic grit. These two guitar players exploded onto the scene from the visionary recesses of their minds. Their sound started there (internally) then came forth as they were able to articulate it. I love EVH!! He was the complete package in every way. His only shortcoming was drugs and alcohol, which he eventually overcame. The only other living guitar player who brings both virtuosity and grit together in a mind-blowing way is Toni Iommi.
When I play george´s songs I always end up having carpal pain in my left hand...to play like him you need a super firm grip and pulls... its a pleasure to see him play with such force and emotion...one of my top 10 af all time...
George and Richie sambora have always been two of my favorite guitarists. I would love to see those two play in a band together just to see how their chemistry and chops would mix together. I know it will never happen but those two guitarists deserve to be in a decent band again. Never too late.
Thanks so much for posting this...what a musical treat and a real showcase of live talent...you can only get stuff like this from seasoned pros !!! ( Thus eliminating about 90% or more of today's "entertainers"...not many truly talented MUSICIANS out there on current pop and rocks charts )...thanks again for quality stuff like this !!
No problem bro! I'm glad you enjoyed it as well! I have at least 4 full Lynch Mob shows on my channel that I recorded myself. Check out the rest of them. I'm a big George Lynch fan so I get up close and personal in every video. Some are better than others but check them out for yourself. I have them doing Main Offender just once and it's awesome. It dosen't even have 100 views yet. George is awesome! Long live Lynxh!
I became a lynch fan when i saw him live like in 2002 i think He opened for yngwie in denver He blew yngwie away, and im a big yngwie fan, i went to see yngwie but georje was just on fire and his tone was killer, spot on Yngwie not so much, i couldnt even tell what song he was playing, they were so loud i could only hear the drums and bass, nothing else, i was really dissapointed at yngwies performance but lynch made up for it, fantastic guitar player!!!!
I'm about as satisfied with music as I could ever be right now.George Lynch is my hero then and now and always will be an inspiration and original and the baddest of them all.Band members are also great.Video is raw and real and REALLY fucking awesome!!!Thanks for recording and sharing this dude !!
Great video. Thanks for posting it!! George Lynch and Dokken were one of my favorites. Under lock and key is one of the greatest albums of all time IMO!!!!!!
Yes.. I loved that too. I think sometimes he amazes even himself when he's cuttin' loose and "ad libbing" on stage. His tech's name is John. Talked with him at several shows to ask George to autograph my guitars right in the band room. John is also a great guy indeed! What an experience!
Thank you so much for sharing this Timothy ! I live in Japan but sure feel like I was there watching George shredding ! This video made my day ! Thank you !
Feels so satisfying to make someone really happy, ☺☺☺ especially when it involves watching George Lynch own his guitar live on stage... and with no trick photography or special effects of any kind. I'm so glad you enjoyed watching it. I convinced my sister to go with me the first time. The following 4 or 5 times he came within driving distance neither of us missed a show, as in, I didn't have to convince her after the first show. These videos are exactly what it's like except for the sound. Hearing Lynch live and in person is like no other. Catch him the next time he's wihin a days drive from your neighborhood. You won't be disappointed! There are 5 or 6 complete Lynch Mob shows on thus channel. Check them all out. One complete show I recorded was spoiled because of the microphone on my phone so I didn't upload any of it. Too bad. ☺☺☺
Don't know what your missing , saw them in their prime in the 80's. They opened for Priest , George was sick!!! Go check out the 3 song's they just played in Pennsylvania , Lynch is destroying it on this song playing a Gibson with triple humbuckers , this singer needs to sing though , Don's voice is completely shot. They lowered his vocals and he's really not singing , it's more like he's talking through the song's. It's really bad!!
This video is amazing! Come to think of it... it’s all I want and it’s all I need!!! This shit just brings me to my knees!!! Thank you gents! Keep Rockin with (a quarter) Dokken🤘
A quarter of Dokken? Have you heard what's left of Don Rockin' with Dokken's voice? No disrespect towards Mick or Jeff, but I think he's closer to a third of Dokken, especially these days! Hey, I guess that he's technically the primary shareholder if Dokken's stock went public?
Thanks man .. you are most welcome. Lots of awesome Lynch on my channel that I recorded myself up close and personal for every show. Check them all out when you can. Rock on with the Mob!
@@image30p "Fan" tastic!! Glad you enjoy them as well. I still watch them myself to this day! 😁😂 Thanks for the sub bro! Hopefully there will be more new footage soon!
@@image30p Thanks bro! I must say that my videos are some of the best that I have seen on RU-vid as well. Glad you're lovin' them too! Long live Lynch!
Great video man. Rarely I watched a bootleg in full. But this one is exceptional. You get the small spacw concert vibe recorded really well. Thanks a lot! George and the guys were amazing
George Lynch is in the top 10 of all time- he’s right there with Satriani, Steve Vai, Eddie Van Halen, he just didn’t get his props - He might even be better than any of them
My pleasure to share with anyone who wasn't able to attend this amazing performance. There was maybe 100 people there that night, that's it. Everyone had a great view of Mr. Lynch in action.
I would pay damn good money to see this line-up again. Friggin' fantastic!!!! I heard recently that George is no loner doing Lynch Mob because of constant personnel rotations, or something like that.
Jeff Blando could be the singer for all the hair bands still touring. I’m sure there are good fill in singers, but he’s been around for forever and has the name recognition.
To all the young players- don't ever hesitate to shred if that's where you're heart is...Keep this style alive! No one should ever have to feel ashamed to play technically advanced guitar oriented music- this is part of the reason why 90's pop will be such a forgotten genre
I am a big Oni fan of course. But the young Steven Tyler is getting it done here on "Kiss of Death." and "Wicked Sensation." Then just kills it on drums and backing voc's for "Unchain the Night." And the drummer just killing one of the hardest Dokken songs to sing. Great fucking stuff here. Hope Sir George keeps this line-up together for a while.
You're most welcome! To be honest with you, every time I watch the videos I posted of this show it seems like I'm still standing right in front of him!! Si awesome! I have 3 or 4 full shows uploadeded just as close as this one but this show was the very best! It was George's birthday that day. Unchain tha Night and Kiss of Death were not on their setlist that night. These were an added bonus for George's birthday. Check out my other Lynch Mob videos too. Thank you for viewing and for your comment here bro!
Wow, that old Park amp head is a rarity and I personally knew of only one person that had that same head. It may not be considered high gain by today's standard. However, the tone is so unique!
Damn , you brother you got a sub. The edit, sound quality , of this . I was lucky enough to met George. Chat abit. Nice guy. Autographed my cd. Chat a bit. No ego, bad attitude . Great show live. 👍
Thanks brother. I don't really care about subscribers much but I do like that Lynch fans can watch here what they couldn't see live... however, I really do appreciate the comments. "No ego George" is why he was always my favorite. He has the similar character and personality as I do. Check out my channel some more. Lots of Lynch up close and personal. No editing whatsoever.. all completely live footage. Some shows sound better than others. I was using just a regular smart phone. Regardless, thank you so much for the sub .. I do appreciate that as well. I'm glad you enjoyed it. You haven't met one of Lynch's greatest fans. Chrcout my profile picture. Thats when he signed my ESP Sunburst Tiger guitars in Detroit He also signed my ESP K-1 Kamikaze and my John "The Frog" Garcia Skull and Bones guitars at 2 other Toronto shows. I was the only one to get an autograph at 2 of these shows and I was invited into the band room with George 1 on 1 si he could sign them. It was only because of my guitars that got me interested band room. They signify a true die hard fan. One of my videos shows me playing Kiss of Death on the Skull and Bones. Check it out. Here's the link.... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TP9fNJNMPII.html Even Tony Fuentes watched and commented on it. Do you know who he is? Another huge Lynch fan. He put all of my individual videos into 1 complete show into 1 video. Check him out as well. Cheers 🤙🤙
George Lynch did a Guitar Clinic here ( nearby in Cape Coral Fl at a really nice Music store -He had the the Stage Lights - His prize Marshall Head - and - a GL 56 ( I brought my GL 56 and he signed it -Thank You George)
My pleasure. Thanks for watching and for your comment as well. Glad you enjoyed it. Kiss of Death wasn't on the setlist that night. George was definitely on fire that night!
@@timothyireson1076 Videos like these mean the world for people in "less fortunate parts of the world". It's so sad how they completely raped and killed the rock scene in my area in the past 15 years. Miss so much going to concerts and stumbling into spontaneous gig events every week. Big festivals sponsored by banks charging 200 bucks for a night, get out of my face with that crap. Behold internets, the man in pissed LOOOL
Man, this is killer! Thanks for uploading. :) Out of curiosity, does anyone know if that Marshall is a 50 watter? I saw the recent Young Guitar interview where George shows his amps in the studio, but it doesn't mention the wattage.
Lynch to this day still never gets the respect he deserves as a world class shredder. If he wouldn't have been in a "hair band" he would have been recognized as a top 5 guitarist that came out of the 80s. I personally would put him up there with Steve Vai and Malmstien
Guitar magazine's guitarist of the year in 1987 was ..... George Lynch Still many people didn't know who he was and never heard of him. Guitar players know exactly who he is. That's fine with me because a lot of people totally missed out. Too bad for them. Hahaha You don't need any public advertising or public approval rating when you're good like Lynch... and I mean through his entire career. Many people went to go see Aerosmith back in that time when Dokken opened for them. I told those Aerosmith fans I was only going to see George Lynch play live. Their answer to that was, " Oh?? ...Who is he? Hahaha
Glad you remembered, but how could you ever have forgotten this in the first place?? :-)) GL has been my favorite guitarist for almost 4 decades now. I am old as sht.
@@BPoweredLove 4 decades 4 me as well brother. Ever since the first time I heard Breaking the Chains on a Detroit radio station back in 1982, I believe.
