Dehya could've been one of, if not, the best off-field Pyro dps/applier, but for some reason that not even to this day I understand, they decided to turn her into one of the worst characters in the game, with a kit that even to this day barely works.
the bell is pretty good for diving exploration, since its passive can protect you from ambush attack, plus it also scales of hp which more important underwater. I level up the weapon since it look good for freminet & help him on underwater exp, but i wont refuse if there's new chara that can utilize it on battle 👀
@@fri-cd6xy lol that's exactly what I use the bell for since I don't have the saw yet. Combined with Dehya and her hp pushed as much as possible without spending lots of mats. Put Freminet and Neuvillette on the team and underwater exploration is the most fun that it can be.
I think it's more likely that we'll get that in Snezhnaya or Khaenri'ah. Snezhnaya because Superconduct is the "Physical" reaction and is strong against human enemies like the Fatui, so it makes sense in a region built around a Cryo character, (probably with off-field application,) like the Tsaritsa. And Khaenri'ah has no associated element, so it makes sense for building "element agnostic" characters like physical.
@@normal6483it would happen in natlan though. Sumeru had more HP scalers and healers than Fontaine and Fontaine has more atk scalers than we had in pre-Sumeru, post release. So I assume Natlan would have more characters that fit Schneznaya's theme than Schneznaya. So we may see more cryo characters in Natlan and more crit boosting or scaling characters.
For people that actually main the characters, we always find ways to play them. I've played Yoimiya on Mono-Pyro, Vape, Overvape, Burning, Burgeon, Overload, Melt, and Melt/Vape/Freeze. I've seen people say they want something different for Pyro but they never elaborate. To me the only things pyro is missing is; another reliable off-field pyro applicator like Xiangling or another Bennett/Chevreuse. It's not like the DPS from other elements are anymore versatile than pyro. They're all locked into whatever reactions their elements limit them to.
Having multiple characters being able to do the same role is fine, as long as they feel different to play. In that regard all pyro DPSers so far are fine. Only Klee and Yanfei feel similar to me. But the truly interesting characters are the ones that shake up the meta. Allowing you to play new team comps or force you play team differently. Chevreuse is the most interesting pyro character released since... well... the release of the game in my opinion. 3.x had the release of Dendro. 4.x has Furina, Xianyun and Chevreuse. I hope 5.x also has characters that open up new team options instead of just being possible replacements in existing teams. Not every character needs to do so, but a few now and then keep the game fresh.
Every archon so far has EXCELLENT off-field element application. If our lady of War will stay on trend we might finally get to see xiangling kicked off her throne of best pyro sub-DPS/support!
another problem to that is the pyro archon might be another on field dps which kinda redundant bec of how many pyro dps we currently have. I really do wish that the next archon will replace xiangling.
remember yelan and how she was going to replace xinque but people just ended up running both of them instead xD? yeah, expect a xiangling + pyro archon + bennet meta. Wont solve the underlying main on-field dps problem, and for sure will not overthrow xiangling from pyro teams. I feel they must release another non pyro character that can boost base ATK so we can have different reactions with the dmg increase. This will make diverse builds
@@ksvsrikar2779 Xingqui and Yelan are paired together for the atrociously high amounts of hydro application. Pyro is less useful application wise than hydro so your point isnt really relevant unless you want to foward vape lol(even then, there is burnvape)
That's not true. The only archon with excellent off field elemental application is Nahida. Furina's rate of application is medium and its intermittent, which can be problematic. Raiden's off field application is poor (she's just lucky hyperbloom doesn't care because it creates a new entity which lets it bypass the icd issue). Zhongli's pillars stay in one spot and can be broken. Venti doesn't have full uptime.
I think the "Pyro DPS Problem" is a problem that's going to hit every niche, eventually. We have very few roles left: We don't have hydro or Anemo shielders, for example, but we shielders of every other type (if you count Beido's shield.) Eventually it will just be differences between Shielder characters, for example Layla and Diona. On the other hand, I'm encouraged by the new type of play styles brought in by Xianyun and Chevrous. Xianyun in particular is just fun, leaping into the air and doing plunge damage. If Genshin can keep that up, it will be interesting at least.
@@ChrisSmith-tu9buthat's not a shield, that's just a counter. The Beidou shield OP mentioned is from her c1 which provides the on field character a shield after you use her burst
@@ChrisSmith-tu9bu I like Candace's personality and design, but her "shield" doesn't count as a shield in a lot of ways, like Geo resonance. It would be great if she had something like Yanfei's C4, where she got an actual shield.
Imo Yoimiya does have a niche. Since her damage is respectable and her playstyle is considered rather intuitive, lots of people do not mind trading the higher damage of powerful but harder to maneuver dpses for some comfort. It might be my mobile player bias as well, but I've found her especially convenient there
Yh and she is great to farm this Artefact where i have to stay in switching places to get big buffs And since this Artefact is op asf, ppl farm it a lot and yoimiya pumps big dmg out there
She also is the best main pyro DPS for chev overload Cus she can stay in Bennett circle and not worry about mobs leaving the circle or getting overloaded away
Charged shot archers in this game feel like they are the most skill-dependent units, because your DPS heavily depends on your aiming. But at the same time, they are the most "playable" units, in terms of actually "playing" the battle as you like. You are free to pick any target, and you are less restricted with your movements (because they don't use stamina for power-attack). And the auto targeting doesn't mess with your intentions all that much. They have their downsides, as every type of character has, but for me they are the most satisfying to play.
My main hope for Natlan is that Xbalanque and Murata finally kick Bennett and Xiangling off their lofty perch. They've had a near total chokehold on Pyro that is honestly really annoying as neither of them are particularly interesting as characters or even cool to look at. 🙏
Bennett is such a cool character with a nice story and theories around him, not everyone has to be a mommy waifu or a tall strong husbando to be an interesting character
@@justawalter9752 I do agree with you on the waifu/husbando thing. I do love characters that don't fit into that. Tbh I mainly dislike how dumb the 'thumbs up' thingy looks on his burst and his English VA is not my favourite.
All of the Archon so far have been off field. Venti = Burst support. Zhongli = Skill Support + Burst Petrification. Raiden = Burst support + Electro Skill application. Nahida = Skill support + Burst EM Buff. Furina = Skill support + DMG Enhancer. None of them are on field DPS aside from Raiden's 7 second burst. All are (In my mind) top tier supports for their element.
Lyney is my favorite character to just nuke the abyss he’s actually really fun for a bow ca character. I was completely uninterested in him until we met him in story and saw his gameplay, now I have his c3 and bow😭 I heard Lyney might be better than Father at the moment based on her current kit and it wouldn’t surprise me as I’m confident he’s at least the top 5 dps atm not far behind Neuvi in clear time. Very underrated and he’ll only get better once Natlan drops if they finally make better off field pyro characters that aren’t 4*💀
I personally have fun playing quickswap with Lyney/Navia team with Bennett and Xiangling. Navia’s burst with crystallize gives Lyney some interruption resistance and swapping to Navia to do the skill is so much fun for me
@@MJAY552Especially since ganyu needs C6 (I think) to get fast shots Lyney kinda does But tighnari just needs his skill for it so hes more F2P freindly Hes just standard so its hard to get him Out of 6 other 5 stars
@@Merozixi yeah standards are hard to get sometimes. I happen to get c1 tighnari and just found out he gets free 15% crit rate in his charged attack, It's crazy
Two tips: Chevy's curation help lot with Maracheusse stacks, and Healer Furina actually make sense in somo scenarios for Lyney, and actually, its the only team where i think furina can use her two modes at full
I love his multipliers for mono pyro, can help really ramp his damage up. I’m in a situation where I can also build up a plunge Diluc for one side of the abyss, and then use Mono Lyney for another side, fun stuff!!
I hope Hu Tao reruns soon so I can do Hu Tao plunge one side and lyney overload on the other side. That's my dream abyss line-up. (I wish there were 2 Furina's so I could do lyney vape and Hu Tao plunge on either side)
Lyney without a shielder is both easier and more complex than you think - If you can get one of Lyney's hats close enough to an enemy, the hat will taunt then and the enemy won't even aim at Lyney, which means that you don't get hit and are less likely to be interrupted - but some enemies (mostly bosses) are immune to taunt, some enemies have attacks that can hit you while they are aiming at the hat, some enemies will switch target to you mid-attack if the hat that taunted them stops existing, and some attacks can't target constructs and will cause the user to attack Lyney directly even while they are currently taunted by a hat (most such attacks cause some kind of marker to appear on their target, like Ruin Guard missiles).
I know arlechino isn't out yet, but for me she seems like a huge disappointment. Not because she will be weak, but because she will be same old, same old. I love the idea of a high risk high reward DPS, but Hu Tao is already that character... With the same weapon AND the same element. I think it would be so much cooler, and so much more on-character if she was a off-field dps or a support. Maybe she could keep the idea of bond of life but apply it for the whole party, and while it was active, no one could be healed except by arlechino. While the bond was above 30%, whenever the on field character attacks, she would do a follow-up pyro attack (like Raiden's) and consume some of the bond. When she used the burst, it would heal the whole party for some amount. How cool would be the idea of arlechino holding the entire party hostage to her bond of life?
I totally agree with the sentiment. I'm less excited for Arle simply because I know I don't have the funds to get her, so I'm figuring I'll focus on Clorinde for now, but I think beyond lore, my combat focused hype for her solely lies in the fact I hope she dethrones HuTao because I'm sick of her being praised for how long she has been.
The benefit of the 2pc 2pc ATK% is also Lyney being able to immediately use his burst instead of needing to charge attack first two times before burst. There’s more freedom with how you decide to do the rotation
Well well well it's all coming full circle. I got her for a mono geo team, with itto. Pretty expensive cause I got both in the same banner F2P. I'd love to experiment with her so I'm excited to see what happens.
The problem with Chiori is that she is one of the many geo characters suitable just for geo mono teams (which, Imho, are boring), very different from Navia who can be put in almost every team. Moreover there is nothing particularly innovative about her kit, (someone has called her a reinvented Albedo) ... They say that she will eventually be in introduced in the standard banner as the geo representant so everybody is going to get her anyway sooner or later. So, no particular reason to pull for her (unless you like the character very much)
On the talk of overload of Pyro DPS talk, Honestly Genshin ironically has the inverse problem that HSR does. HSR is very blatantly strongarming you into building the various types of of team compositions if you want to excel at the end game. It's not inherent bad, but it's a far cry from being a casual friendly game. Genshin meanwhile drags their feet with actually giving these more distinct DPS characters. The only true one we've gotten in recent memories is Nilou.
They need to stop on field dps with pyro and give us off field more. If you can't stand xiangling and Bennett you just really don't get an off field choice (unless Chev who is legit great imo). It feels like pyro is in this stance of being stuck in time for years. It wasn't until Chev that FINALLY we got a change but it's a niche pick and not a more generic choice. Hope Natlan gets a Bennett sidegrade since we need it badly.
Yoimiya's niche is being able to turn brain off and mash left click while everything around you dies. Very comfy character to pilot. She also works really well with Fischl and Chevreuse since her high attack speed synergizes with the c6 Oz follow ups.
Important notice for Marechausse Hunter i previously found: Stacks are increasing per 5 sec if HP flows every 5 sec, but once it exceeds 5 sec, your active character will lose all stacks. It means stacks are not independent to each other, they have 1 timer, which really makes it easier to stack for Lyney and many other characters who struggling with this mechanic
[6:44] There's C4 *Tankfei* too! 🥺 (which is already pinned here, but to explain: she *shields* on burst and may either *heal* with *Prototype Amber* or give even more ATK with TTDS... plus she can go for Noblesse, that new healing set or Maiden - which also serves to buff Chevreuse's healing further.)
For fellow lyney mains, sunfire w furina is an incredible team where furina gets vape’s on all hit. Lyney hits like a truck. If you arent one shot you cannot die. Ofc benny and vv jean are massive dps increases and because of lyney’s 5 particles every 15 sec you always have benny burst and er requirements are pretty low on furina and jean. This obviously isnt the best team for lyney, but does feel incredibly comfortable. Even when u do get hit, furina will still keep on doing amazing dmg w vapes, more fanfare. And movement speed for lyney is heavily underrated, because with 12% movement speed u can absolutely dodge a lot of attacks without droppin CA. Personally polled for r2 just for the movement speed (also dmg increase lol). Hopefully get c2 jean soon also. Lyney does want hyper armor, but he can do without
Did you just kinda ignore Lyney/Zhongli/Xiangling/Benny? Sounds like it kinda fixes all your issues... You have a shield, Zhongli has access to Petra (more reliable than ToM in my book in a mono comp), you get all Lyney stacks. You have heal and powerful off field dmg. For the rest I feel some characters have a niche but the devs don't support said niche. Imo Inazuma was a mess... While they successfully "saved" Kokomi, they kinda failed with other undertuned units... From Raiden's beta it's obvious to me they planned to do something a bit different and have a dual carry/NA based gameplay going on. Ayato, Yunjin and arguably Yelan support this idea. Even Kokomi and Shimenawa are tied to NA. They ended up going in a different direction and the whole region was messy, to this day I still think Yae is a failure and far from being saved by Dendro. But at release Yae/Raiden was a massive fraud (90 energy, long ass cooldown, meh sub dps with no other utility, what were they trying to push?) So while I'm glad they manage to make some older units relevant again (Klee, Diluc, Keqing, Xiao recently). I feel every region has its dose of big fails or forgotten units (Albedo, Eula, Yoimiya, Cyno, Chiori etc...). Some of those are beyond saving or you just need to massively invest into premium teams with teamates that would simply perform better elsewhere. I think some units can still be saved. Overall the game has remarkable balance for a gacha. I'm curious about what Natlan will do with Pyro. I also wouldn't mind if Pyro archon is a support of some sort and Pyro Sovereign a sub DPS. Generally you can sell the on field carry approach with cons and make anyone OP at C6 (Furina, Chiori etc...). It's time to end Bennett and Xiangling's reign, but not in a violent manner. Just give people too many team options and make everyone relevant. We tend to play buffers together for bigger dmg, but if 2 Natlan characters/Xiangling/Benny is a new best Pyro team, it means there's no Hydro/Cryo/Anemo involved, and people want to play reactions. As long as we keep having 4 characters teams I don't think alternatives for Benny or Xiangling would be too broken.
I think he's focusing on Lyney teams that involve characters that released after he did, and many of the teams that don't use post 4.0 characters are discussed in his original Lyney video.
Excuse me? Yae is the best electro unit for being strong raw damage and highly flexible in both artifact and weapon build. She's been top of A tier since release and she's only been buffed with dendro. She doesn't need cons or resource grinding to work. She's just skill and quick swap focused.
The problem really here is that every Pyro DPS character is getting compared to Xiangling...I mean I do get it she has no freakin ICD and does so much dmg while being off field this is like the perfect scenario any DPS character could get, but as a Day 1 player I have really gotten tired of Xiangling and bennet really, I wanna see new characters do the same thing and maybe a bit differently to spice things up a bit.... So I am really looking forward to getting Arlecchino I have a guaranteed wish anyway but her weapon is what's causing me anxiety I want it so bad but weapon banner is.....U know 😨😨😨😨
Honestly, the teams you're showcasing are somewhat questionable in terms of usability for me. I am not a Lynney player since he offers nothing that Amber doesn't have in a more fun way to me. Because of that, I've come to the following conclusions for my Lynney/Amber team. 1. If bennet is the reason you're getting killed, he's not worth it, use Chevruse instead 2. If Furina is draining too much hp, get another healer on the team -> Chevruse does that for you without location restrictions. 3. You'll most likely want to use Kuki elsewhere and getting knocked back because of an electro-pyro reaction is frustrating beyond hell, use a different electro healer instead to get the big shot from Chevruse. To me, a team consisting of Amber, Chevruse, Furina and Dori is the way to go these days. while I would have liked to get some cryo in there for reducing physical resistance of enemies too, I'm at least not hindered by anything while keeping dps comfortably high. Since anemo doesnt do jack for physical anyway, its easy for me to justify not running anything of that kind when I decide to play with either Pyro or physical on a whim. That being said, I do hope that Lynneys bow comes home this time around. It synergizes so well with Amber
So many pyro dps and we havent even reach the pyro nation yet 😢. I was cheering for lyney to be a pyro subdps that can replace XL but hoyo hv to go and make him a dps to compete with his father but well at least he is one of the strongest (if u can play him well)
Honestly hes definitely not worth it especially if you don't have Furina yet...and TBH Im kind of mad at myself for pulling for Neuvilette whos a much better DPS just because Furina C2 is so incredible and I only have her at C0
I think this vid is pretty accurate, aside from his personal thought like the CA stuff… that is ultimately on you. He is one of the harder unit to master but his dmg is worth it. Btw, he is one of the most popular unit in terms of speedrun in CN. The latest tournament they held for abyss speedrun… he is the #2 top pick/ban in dps category just below Neuvillete.
I plan to pull for Arlecchino, even tho I already have both Hu Tao and Yoimiya bc I already 36* stars abyss regularly. I don't care if she's gonna improve my account. While I agree that Pyro DPSes overlap each other a lot, I think it's also nice for a character not to lock in 1 specific team. From the detail in live stream, I think I'm gonna put Arlecchino in Chevreuse team with Fischl and Beidou. I know Bennett buff her atk a lot but bc she can't get heal from Bennett's burst and Bennett apply pyro to her and she might get 1 shot by some bosses.
I think the main reason for there being no Bennett or xianling alternative is that hoyo with some more recent exceptions really doesn’t like to make characters that are out right better than others at least in genshin, how do you make a unit that is only sometimes or usually better better than either of those two who are the most versatile pyro options right now? I think for Bennett it needs to be a xingu vs yelan type deal where the newer gives even more damage but no healing(similar to yelans damage buff but non of xingu defensive utility), as for xianling, maybe a skill based off fielder to not have energy issues or a pyro aplicater that applies a lot of pyro but does it in many hits making them worse for vaping there own hits
I know you priotise comfort and enjoyment but a tip I'd give is that you don't have to max out his stacks its really better to just use his bust and skill immediately after using your supports abilities this is because they get all the buffs you current have and act as huge nukes but with constantly charge attacking by the time you use your burst and skill you lose your buffs which is a big damage loss. This is move is also better gameplay wise as you're doing less charged attacks which means less stress with teams without zhongli. You only really need to do about 2 charge attacks per rotation.
@@catserfer4753 you lose lyney mono pyro stack and phys res shred for ramping damage bonus and off field yelan damage, which doesn't react to phys. That is if you weave normal attacks between plunges. I need to warn that this is totally meme team comp, but it has enough synergy so it is not totally "I just slapped 4 random units" cringe team comp.
I love that you are a masher - I like min maxing to a point but if rotations are too strict, I don't get to enjoy the visuals of the reactions or feel of combat as much cuz I'm too busy counting how many NAs& dash cancels I've done lol
To me because the pyro region is coming out, all Pyro characters from now till the Archon is release that isn't a Support, will be obsolete. Why? Because you know the Archon will be better than all top Fire units in support and maybe in DPS, and if not DPS wise, the Archon will have a unit like Alhaitham/Neuvillette who will be overpower as DPS to pair with the Archon.
Yeah the issue with all charged shot users is they often loose their DPS REGARDLESS of the interruption: because if you dodge, you still loose your charge, even if you don't get hit.
The main problem of the Pyro roster is role compression, many of the 5-stars not really consolidate many roles and only sticking to be a NA or CA On-field DPS, and as you think about it, the 4 stars are the outliers, they only not have On-fielders, they have compromised of healers, buffers, shielders, and Off-field, it makes it that feeling having too much of it leads decreasing value of getting said character just to yield similar results that a player already have of 2 or 3 Pyro DPS. Like c'mon, hoyo gatekeeping it until Natlan's release.
jello my guy, lyney's feels terrible in this abyss it's because of the abyss, even c0 neuvillette will feel bad with no resistance to interruption in this abyss, like ya his resistance to interruption is a problem but it's for every other character for this abyss, it's not just a lyney problem is what i mean to say
honestly, the only way i see Pyro Archon being a good off fielder is for her to be this fusion of Bennett and Xiangling.... as for the Pyro Suvreign, they're probably going to be another dps
As you said it yourself, Genshin keeps releasing pyro DPS characters and they were all misses. I've been skipping Pyro characters since 1.0 in look for a single Pyro DPS that is both strong and fun. We finally got one after years. I don't even like Arlecchino, I just want her because her gameplay is skill based and fun. I need a character that does well with Dodging, and Arlecchino just might be the one. (Yes, I did only watch the video for the last part. I don't like Lyney gameplay, or any charge shot character in general. Ganyu is an exception, but I don't even play her anymore.)
As a mobile-only player, you know what charged attack bow user they did right?? Tighnari. He is the only bow user outside of Fischl I've ever felt comfy playing on mobile. I wanted to love Lyney so bad, but I can't make him work on mobile (skill issue)
Mh should get significantly better if you can hit 76 crit rate (100% with 2 stacks instead of 3). And don't forget Benny/Chevreuse heals give you a stack, so in practice it's only 2 shots to max out the crit rate buff. C1 also helps with area coverage. For pyro as a whole, save us from OPPA, Murata
Maybe use Kuki (full EM) in the overload team it is an easy way to heal Lyney back to get 5 stacks for his skill and it helps with keeping the marechaussee hunter 4 piece bonus. If you have c4 Kuki then she can apply electro (every 5s) with Lyney's attacks too. It may not be the best Lyney team, but I use: Lyney (C1, Marechaussee), Chevreuse (C0, Noblesse), Xiangling (C6, Emblem), Kuki (C6, Guilded dreams) It has a fast cleartime for me without resets
totally agree, where are our cool 5 stars pyro healers, buffers, sub dps and shields (hopes on next region) why do we need 10 pyro dps, i wanted arlechino so badly because her design is awesome, but i already have hutao and I don't even use often. if i need a lot of pyro, bennet san ling and kazuha do the job perfect
You might wanna be careful with showing Patron's email addresses...unless its something they are okay with. Otherwise, you do make great content, just expressing my concern for that as an aspiring dev
@@JelloImpact awesome stuff. wouldn't want you to end up in some drama over this down the line. you genuinely make good content and seem like a level-headed person so it would be a shame if the worst happened
I hope Natlan brings more pyro supports instead of dps, though I've already seen leaks about at least 1 pyro dps that's supposedly Neuvillette level. I just hope the archon is like Furina/Nahida, and provides consistent pyro application and buffs. I want to bench Bennett. I can deal with the circles, but that doesn't mean I want to..
I think the Pyro characaters play differently. I do not like Bow users with their Charge Shot mechanic, so I even hesitated to pull Yoimiya (or preferred the other on Banner characters like Raiden). Only on the last rerun of her (4.x with Raiden) I pulled her (lost 50/50 on her, used Guarantee on Raiden C3, lost again and used guarantee on her). I like that you can play her without the Charge shot. I have also Hu Tao, Klee and Diluc. Hu Tao is benched, because I ran often out of Stamina, even though I have her C1. Klee also is often out of Stamina and Diluc just feels "slow" to me. From the 4.6 preview Arlecchino looks fun. I will try her in her Trial and if she is "more fluid" for me than Hu Tao, I will try to get her (and if her early Constellations are good, maybe also her C1 or C2) and if enough spare also trying to get her Weapon. If I lose to Lyney's Bow I could atleast use that for my Tighnari I guess or my Ganyu (Ganyu uses Amo's Bow, Tighnari has Rust or Crescent or so). As for a Shielder for Lyney: In the comments you mentioned Yanfei, but what about Thoma?
ALL these Pyro DPS's YES, and yet NONE of them can be played like AlHaitham or Neuvi or Navia yet... That's Literally what we've been waiting and asking for since Launch...a 5* Pyro Sword user or a Flamethrower or Catalyst user, someone that is at least classic but excellent without set-backs in their mechanics, and granted the ones they released are fun, but always have something off. it's insane that Hoyo hasn't done that yet, YEARS into the game. Props to them for at least keeping us entertained without it.
The day we get a dehya thats better [on par with fu xuan], or is a nahida/charlotte so plunge/na/ca attackers can benefit from the pyro application wil be amazing. But the problem is that dehya is such a garbage choice, benny applies pyro to the character the same way as barbara's E skill does [meaning have fun DYING because he vaped your ass or you got bounced adound thanks to overload] ans xianglinf who feels awful to play outside of childe comps..
The problem with pyro to me is you're either compared to the nuclear bomb that is Hu Tao for a damage dealer or you're compared to Xiangling/Bennet as a buffer and I dislike that a lot. Personally I've built Diluc, Hu Tao, Yoimiya and Dehya all fairly well too. They all definitely feel different to each other. What I honestly want is a really good off field cryp DPS so melt can properly shine and bring pyro back into the light. Ever since dendro dropped pyro has been mostly shafted.
The trouble with the Pyro is that their elemental reactions are all related to damage, which is relatively monotonous, and it also includes Vaporize and melt that directly doubles the damage, which makes it easy for the Pyro to cause power creep. Since miHoYo's mistake in Hu-Tao's case, the Pyro has been dominated by scattered attacks and can no longer cause big numbers. The ICD is also mediocre. This has led to some interesting phenomena: the best candidate to break the enemy's ice shield is still the old 1.0 character. Lyney does have decent DPS, but the staff directly in his talent explicitly asks players to form a party of 3 Pyros. At the moment, miHoYo seems to be inclined to let Chevrolet accompany the Pyro through this awkward period.
I use diluc and lyney as my dpses, while xiangling when I need something off field. I got c1 lyney today on my birthday. So he’s c1r1 now. I will wait for the pyro archon. I expect them to buff lyney.
I'm waiting for a Pyro Furina, support, shied, sub-dps, since I already have lvl90 Lyney R1, and Yoimiya and Diluc, although I love Arlecchino she is hot but I'd rather get C1 Lyeny instead.
Since you brought up dragon sovereigns and then shows a picture of Iansan, it kinda makes me hope she'll be a sovereign. There's no vision on her artwork what so ever and her namesake is related to a god in real life, but she's not the Archon. We already know the name of the pyro Archon. I am hyping myself for no reason, man...
Yoimiya is rly good for explore cz u clear everything super easy fast, u can also stay all the time in bennets circel Which is often not the case with meele btw, cz enemys are ranged, they stagger, they teleport etc etc Yoimiya Just dont care Also she is very good in farming severd fate, which ppl farm aaaaaa loooooot for aaaaa looooott chars Because u get big dmg boost in the area and u can just put bennets burst there and stay in the buff area as well and deal a shit ton of dmg with low effort, which is great for hours of Farming 💁🏽♂️
Also I have been trying to decide between getting Lyney right now or getting Wanderer They are both my favorites and I already prefarmed everything for wanderer but still- What should I do?
The only reason I'm going to build Yanfei is because she can be a fun burgeon dps and not another Hu Tao copy. Yes they all do dmg but seriously, it's the same as the albedo problem "ehh I already have a Pyro dps" and "any Pyro dps less good than the best one are supersedes..."
The fact that he has bennett and to some extent XL in pretty much every team is the reason why i have no interest in Lyney He's good as a character but nah Bennett has one of the worst designs in the game and is an extremely boring character to use as well as personality wise XL is a more interesting character but she is a walking pyronado stapled to bennett...god i hate bennett Since i am not using either of them, i don't need replacements but i hope Natlan brings some variety to pyro, i only use Tao, Chevreuse and Dehya...sometimes Thoma or Tankfei if i feel like it
Pyro is oversaturated with DPS units, has not added to the off field supports (not counting dehya), and also hasnt fleshed out forward Melt. I understand alot of this will be addressed in the coming regions but i dont get the logic with how they release certain kits 😅
Theyve already been reskinning all kinds of characters so more pyro dpses is no different. i was already pulling just because i had too many pulls back in 2.X. Id much rather have a lame dps than a lame healer because at least i can play them for a bit to mix up my dailies.
2pc 2pc being stronger than MH is definitely incorrect. After you get just one stack 4MH is as good as 2pc 2pc and after getting more it's not close anymore. It is correct that he gets a bit less value from MH as other MH abusers but its still his best set
I farmed severd fate with hu tao and with Yoimiya and Yoimiya was easier and stronger cz u can stay all the time in the pyro buff arena and in bennets The fat Minotaurus can jump and charge so much he wants, Yoimiya dont care And since this is the most farmed artefact set, its pretty uselfull cz ppl are there for hours over hours
For me as someone that used to be a lyney main he's perfectly fine without a shield as someone that now plays furina neuvillette, neuvillette gets interrupted more in his charge than lyney lyney is by far a faster charged attack it's honestly a skill issue if you can't play him without shield but I'm not trying to judge to hard I get that it's hard sometimes
"too long to be regular youtube content" I think you just want to paywall content unless you're about to tell the genre of 12 hour Elder Scrolls retrospectives to hold your beer.
Yeah I use Yanfei and Hu Tao and so didn't see the point of pulling Arleccino or Lyney. I see it as a good thing since I can stack wishes for other characters
As you said the pyro squad does the same thing, but they all do it differently so if a player for example is not a fan of hutaos ca cancel playstyle they can do diluc plunge or yanfei/klee etc. its good to have options(assume the player has the characters/can pull them). Yoimiya really is....niche,she isnt bad but very restricted to single target/2 targets per wave at most,if there are 3 or more enemys per wave her dmg just cant keep up.but if the conditions are right she can really pull her weight.given that she is the only real "ranged" pyro dps she does have the benefit of having the option to put space between herself and the enemy, unlike tao or diluc who need to be in cqc range. As far as i been told Arlecchino will play similar to yoimiya but has some really good range for a melee unit,i for one look forward in using her in my yelan/xingqiu/xianyun plunge team without the need to spam ca ala hutao or in my chev team with beidou/fischl or yae.
I think the real problem with onfield pyros is that they all do the same but with the same people everytime. There is no real meaningful difference between teamates they use. So they end up feeling very samey.
