Skynyrd was ready to take the 90’s by storm! This was the new lineup at its peak.

i got this album in my personal opinion it's an underrated classic that deserves more love. Now no one can touch the talent Ronnie had but massive respect to Johnny for stepping up to the mike to keeps his brothers band alive and keep the Skynyrd legacy going. RIP to all the members that are no longer with us.

This is my favorite song by the reformed band. Ironic that it is the first song they released after reforming. A lot of good music was/is being put out by Skynyrd since 1991. People need to give it a chance. I still come back to this one as my fav though.

Unfortunately they were not able to write anything close to the original stuff- they have made a kazillion$$ but because they haven't compensated the people on that plane, Karma continues to bite little fat brother and the slide guitar player- too bad greed has gotten the best of em

@@davidrice3337 glad to see someone else understands how this business works. This isn't a reformed group picking up the pieces of a broken band. This is guys making money off a recognized name; without compensating the families of those who established that name.

Johnny's too rock n' roll to sing or write like his brother. Ronnie was the blues through and through and that's what set him apart from his peers in the industry. He meant every word he said and you could tell by how he sang it. Johnny is an exceptionally talented singer but could never embody that spirit if he tried.

Man, I REALLY thought this song had a chance of being a hit at the time! This was the song that told me that Skynyrd was back on track and picking up right where they left off in 1977, certainly the best of their post-plane crash material. At this time, you had most of the "Saturday Night Special"-era lineup, minus Ronnie and Allen, still alive and well and clicking on ALL cylinders!

Even in this version of the band, two have passed on, which leads me to say that when Gary Rossington, who is the last sole survivor with the band, passes on the band should call it quits. The band has been reincarnated so many times that the legacy has been a bit tainted. The best years of Skynyrd went down in that Mississippi swamp in '77. I know that sounds cruel, but that's my opinion.

Artimus Pyle is touring these days as the "Ronnie Van Zant Style" Skynyrd Band.... Unfortunately the band kicked him out because of some legal issues years ago when they re-formed so most people think he died as well.
@kathyrais574
@kathyrais574 2 года назад
@@RandomStuffIFindonVHS they kicked him out cause he wrote a tell all book & told some very personal things abt the guys like Billy saying Cassie died in his arms, her throat slit ear to ear. He was actually holding Leslie, she did have faial & neck cuts so bad she had to have several plastic surgeries, she had so much blood on her Billy thought it was Cassie. Not sure why he said she died in his arms, maybe he was dridting in & out, having nighmares IDK but he felt terrible abt it & apoloigized for it several times but Artimus put it in his book, Billy was done with him! They all were. Then he did his movie Street Survivors which is full of lies & inconsistencies. Yes he might have mixed a few details up but he says he went for help through swamp, to get help, guy shot him in the shoulder. Truth: He, Marc Frank, Ken Peden all went for help together, the farmer whose house it was thought the might have been escaped prisioners so shot warning shot in the air. Why is he trying to be the hero, yrs he was hurt & went for help but not alone & didn't get shot. He claims when they knew plane was going to crash RVZ up walking around, cam back to where Artimus was, shook his hand said love you man. Truth: RVZ took 2 sleeping pills & was zonked out on floor, didn't even know what was going on. Artimus says he went up & put a pillow under Ronnie's head to try to protect him Truth: Gene Odom grabbed him off floor, RVZ fightin him whole time, Gene told him plane doin down & in his dazed state, he thought he was messin with him, Gene finally got Ronnie into a seat & buckled him in! Who tells lies like that & why? For moneyI guess & to make himself look likr the big hero that saved the day. He makes me sick. I used to really like him. He is also a registered sex offender for molesting his daughter.
