"Don't Give Me A Hard Time Tonight" is the first original song that Ronnie Van Zant sang with his band in Jacksonville, FL in 1965. They were doing copy tunes and needed originals. This is one of the songs that I wrote in 1963 when I was 13. Ronnie sang it live for over four years with the original members of the band plus me as a sideman playing harmonica and guitar. I was perfectly content because I loved Ronnie's voice. They were The Noble Five, My Backyard and One Percent during this time.
