Johnny is a great and down to earth guy. Love that line about making God laugh by telling Him your plans.

Cool little interview. A little too short though. I met Johnny in 2003 at an album signing Skynyrd did in TN. He’s a good guy. Very down to earth and cool. 👍🏼

It's a testament to the power of the music and vision of ronnie, the name vanzant is carved in stone, no pun intended, real rock and a corner stone in my life . Was I right or wrong Love your show brother good job carrying the name and memories all these years.

Seen them live at Nicholls State University gymnasium when Sweet Home Alabama was released. Grinderswitch opened for them. My neck hair was still standing hours after the concert. Happy 50th wish I could party with y’all, great job!

Man meeting Johnny would be incredible, if you read this Johnny, I made a tribute song , I think you’d dig it.~ I’ve been a fan since I was a kid in the mid 70s, first time I heard the bands music, I saved up money at around 7or 8 and bought the vinyl, then the shirt, then in an instant 77 came. Love you all~ ❤️

The Johnny Van Zant solo album "No More Dirty Deals" is much better than anything he has done since. Medlocke did much better stuff in Blackfoot. R.I.P. Lynyrd Skynyrd since the plane crash.

I have grown, over the years, to enjoy John's voice even better than his brother's.....they talk about Simple Man, I just got through doing a cover of that in my Midi Studio by myself, and man, that song is just so fabulous and powerful.....

Myself, I think they should have left a long time ago. Just because out of respect. Gary wasn't even in the ground and they were doing a show. Not right at all. I'm gonna see them this Sunday, not caring. ZZ TOP show. And dusty is gone.
