Robert Slack Why? I adore these pure reactions in a generation that didn’t get the memo in the 70s that we weren’t supposed to listen to each other’s music or risk being ridiculed by kids of our own cultures. So pure joy in the music happens and ITS CONTAGIOUS! Who knows, I may go into a bar (I’m 57) full of young people of all stripes grooving on the anthems of my youth. What a pleasure, plus it helps narrow the generation gap. Jmho

@@ScribeCash Wheb YOU said you felt like you caught the Holy Ghost~I was cracking up! Us old time fans from the beginning always say things like that. We are like...JUST WAIT till that one section hits the ears of a new listener. It WILL "change your religion" is our side joke cuz it lifts you up into the song and it just draws you in. Believe me wr ARE watching uou to see when thar guitar riff comes in and you finally hear it! It's really such a great thing for us older fans and a true pleasure to see the reaction of newer ppl coming to appreciate them. I'm SO glad that you'll be checking out more of theor videos~you won't be disappointed in any of their music. Unfortunately I wasn't able to see the original members. BUT I DID get to see the second lineup when they finally decided to come back to performing again after the accident. I got to see them a few tkmes. But I've gotta say that one of the BEST shows was at what is their ANNUAL show at the Beacon Theatre in NYC where they play a bunch of dates. It's a great place to see them because there's not a bad seat in the house and the acoustics are absolutely amazing in there. I also got to see them a few times over at the Nassau Colosseum out on Long Island NY which is in my hometown. They ALWAYS play there right after their dates at Madison Square Garden. So years ago you'd have 3 venues to catch them at. Then they'd go over to New Jersey and do their Meadowlands shows. I grew up on their music and its great to see you discovering amd enjoying them. Plesse check out the song Simple Man. It's considered one of their classics and I just know that you'll love it. 🤘❤😎

My cousin used to step up and take one of the three guitars needed for this track. The lead singer took the second, and an amazing musician called Paul Furnace was lead.....and could play a large chunk of the end section while sat on someones shoulders with the guitar behind his head!! @@oscarwilde6649 It seems that the comment was, perhaps, leaning more towards respect and sorrow for the tragedy, than a comparison of best live performances, both of which are killer shows, by the way. No disrespect intended.

@@oscarwilde6649 Perhaps. However the Oakland '77 show coming only three months before the plane crash, adds a sense of poignancy that sets it apart from others.

Great reaction. I am friends with the original survivors of this band and road crew who were on the plane. Their tragic story wàs recently commemorated in McComb Mississippi. I wàs there for the unveiling and beautiful dedication to the monuments that were placed there Oct 20 ,2019. It was over due. All of the music is great. Much love from KY Poet Girl

As for the music, I love it just as much now as I did when it was first released - in fact I've still got it on tape (but sadly can't play it). Thank God it's finally turned up online.

This song defined my generation. It was voted as my class song in 79. It has nothing to do with politics, South , North, Black, White or purple. (As proof, Skyward themselves don't want Confederate flags at their concerts) Bae if you read this, ❤️ your moves. This song means much to me, and I'm glad you dig it.
