I ordered the doubleneck from Gibson Kalamazoo plant in 1977 or 78 and sold it to Ricky at Al Nali music in Ann Arbor MI in 1981. Didn't even know who he was. He asked me if it was hot and after I said no he snapped his finger and I guy gave me $850 for it cash. Years later when I saw him play it on stage I got chills!

I ordered a double neck from Gibson in 1976 and had to sell it to get Married in 1981. I put it in the Trading Times for $850 and some guy named Rickey Medlocke, who was recording in Ann Arbor MI, bought it. And there he is playing it!!! Wish I had it back.
I wish they would play this live. it seems to have put away from the song list. I would rather here this over free bird and sweet home Alabama. I also love the same old blues again, cheatin woman.in fact I don't think they ever recorded a bad song with Ronnie, but this one and last Rebel are great Jonny tunes.

While I like this song a lot,there is a song that I came across on youtube that didn't make it to the original bands Nuthin Fancy release & why I'll never know cos its a good song to.Its called Cottonmouth Country.Or at least I think that's the name of it.So ya old school Skynyrd fans like me,may wanna give it a listen to.As for this song here,I love it,& thanks for posting it.
Here's a story even Ricky doesn't know about this doubleneck. I was gigging in a bar around 1978, playing this doubleneck, when a gorgeous young women came up to the stage for a kiss. The stage was a couple feet off the ground so I had to lean way over and when I did the guitar strap let go, and the doubleneck landed full weight from about a 3 foot fall right on the corner of the 12 string headstock! Fortunately the guitar was from the Norlan years and only suffered a little chip on the corner.
I know ths isnt SKYNYRD but all the same guys played with THE ALLEN COLLINS BAND Billy-Leon-Allen -Randall Hall who Allen insisted he take his place after he was wheelchair bound But CHAPTER ONE has to be IMO another great song buy the guys
Uhm this is not from the vicious cycle tour that was in 2003 this is from 1997, and note that in the last years both Leon Wilkeson and Billy Powell has died.........
