i feel like this is actually the hero and their old side kick; when the hero needed help the side kick always came, but when the side kick needed help for once the hero helped someone else; thus leaving the side kick gravely injured and deemed useless for battles, later becoming the hero's villain.

I know this isn't the clue of this song, but when the hero says "I'm sorry!" with such a miserable voice I can't help but imagine a tragedy of a person who is supposed to be a hero and is aware of people's expectations, but fails to save someone and feels incredible guilty because he know he disappointed everyone with not being capable of help. If you want a hero like this, I’d recommend Adora from the She-Ra reboot. The show showcases how Adora feels like she’s disappointing people all the time despite doing her best to help which feeds into her self-destructive tendencies to sacrifice herself and her own happiness for others.

Villain was so angry and broken Abe began to gain attention in the wrong way. They would do bad stuff just to see Hero a little bit each day. Hero didn’t understand why Villain became so spiteful towards them and tried to talk. I like to think "you are not the villain, you once held my hand" is sung by the villain to show they don't fully (or don't at all) blame the hero for how this turned out but " stand u, get out. Sometimes things don't go as planned" is the hero letting the villain get away and letting go of what they couldn't do then and can't do now (in other words the hero is giving up on the villain)

I like to think the "you once held my hand" line is sung by the villain, to show that she doesn't blame the hero, but I like the "get out" part also being the villain, as a sort of "it's not your fault, I don't wanna blame you, I just don't wanna see you" kind of feel. It's telling the hero that it isn't her fault, but that there's nothing else she can do, it's too late.

It reminds me one story from greek mythology I think. It is about truth and lie. Story in short: once upon a time , truth and lie lived amongs to people , they were like twins and people recognize them from their clothes. Truht wore most beatiful and elegant dress and lie wore rags. And one day lie was bathing (if I remember correctly ) and invites to truth too. First truth hesitates but decided to join . Then lie stole her clothes and left truth naked. Because of wearing truth's clothes everbody belived lie and people shame to truth for lying and being naked

Can I just say that the comments under this video are so interesting yet sad? I know a lot of people here probably use this song to cope or enjoy the idea of how you imagine the story going on, which is very much valid and take my wording and response with a grain of salt, but isn't it weird how we know nothing about what happened between these two characters besides their emotionally fueled responses between each other, but people only think one of them is in the right? Personally, I think both of them are in the right and wrong. We don't know what the hero did, we don't know what the villain did, all we know is that one wants to help and the other doesn't want it. One wants to understand and the other feels betrayed in someway. We can't blame either of them for what might have happened, because we don't know the situation and really it's probably more complex the idea of, "The villain being the hero and the hero being the villain”. Here’s how I interpret the story: The villain is a fallen hero or redeemed villain turned fallen hero. With the heavy idea of betrayal and the specification of “they hurt you”, it sounds like the villain was betrayed by a group of heroes the hero and villain works/ed with. Now the hero’s trying to make up with the hurt villain while the villain assumes the hero was in on the betrayal - the hero very well may be. It sounds like the hero also believes in the villain and on someway also failed the villain, while the villain has given up on themselves and sees everyone as another “hero” who will eventually give up on them or a villain like them.

My theory is the “Hero” manipulated the villain, who used to be either a hero or normal person. The REAL villain, aka the “hero” used them for fame. They lie and say the real hero did something. Then the hero is perceived as the villain, and the villain is perceived as a hero and gets all the fame. They always would pretend to love the true hero, so the true hero got angry and started doing bad things in a heartbreak. The “hero” never saved the “villain”, and they interact here.

And looking back at history shows that no matter the situation you are in, someone has or is going through what you are right now.... and if they can do it then you can to. You always have the ability to improve, you’re human even when you don’t feel like it. It’s just a question of how can you work with what you’ve got, to get closer too the goals you set? Because improving anything is always possible, sometimes it’s just really hard. However it’s never impossible, and if you want a good place to start looking for self improvement, I recommend RU-vid channels like improvement pill or psych2go. You could stop reading here if you want. After this are tips I’ve learned help people overcome their obstacles, I even put them too the test for years because I needed them at a point in my life. So, when you inevitably feel discouraged, demotivated, or don’t feel like making progress then you could try doing what I did and look at or listen to inspirational subject matter. Always remember that self improvement doesn’t always mean “I did something today that I couldn’t do yesterday.” Or stuff of that sort. Self improvement can be as small as “ I found something that is healthy for me and makes me smile.” Or even “I did a chore during a depressive episode.” So long as you do something that YOU identify as self improvement, then it IS self improvement. So there’s no point in being to hard on yourself since you won’t make any progress that way. Additionally having at least one person other then yourself that supports you and is there for you can make a huge difference and make things a lot easier in all regards. Assuming that individual isn’t harmful for you in any way. Meaning toxic people will only hurt you and slow or halt your progress. Lastly and probably most importantly, remember to take breaks to enjoy yourself and relax. Being able to unwind in a healthy manner is almost needed in all problems that require you to think. Here is no different. I would take the weekends to relax and I would do my best to make progress on the weekdays. Because that’s what works best for me, which I found out through some rough experimentation. Just do your best to manage breaks and use them sparingly/ when needed because too many gets unhealthy instead of healthy. I hope it helps. -Sincerely a future therapist.
I hate the idea of heroes who save the damsel in distress. And whilst your idea isn't necessarily worse, I disagree with it being better. Personally, I believe that it should never be up to one person to save someone - be that themselves, or another. To truly deal with the pain, suffering and tragedy coursing through a person, you must have both. A friend, and the individual. You will never deal with it all on your own, and it will only hurt you more to try. Helplessly relying on someone to come save you, whilst you're in constant fear of rejection, humiliation and your own thoughts and emotions will only wither away your trust in others. Truth is, you need to confide in someone close to you, or even a therapist if it's hard to open up to people you know. And then you must take care of and reflect on yourself. Sometimes you simply need to cradle yourself in your own arms, and know that you are not alone. Don't worry. You are here. So you are safe. And of course, loving yourself is one thing, but trusting yourself is another. Mostly, it takes time. So be patient. My point is, the hero can't save them, and the villain can't save themselves. They must save each other, really.

Sure, the hero is trying to play knight in shining armor without really knowing how to help, but you can tell that they at least *want* to help and speak to the villain, who's pushing them away. Don't act so deep. We're all in the wrong here.

It’s all a matter of perspective. What the hero is called the “hero” and the “villain” is what they call their opponent. And the “villain” is the hero to them, and the “hero” is the villain in their eyes. It’s so add to express how the villains are misunderstood and the hero’s are put on pedestals, I can’t imagine how that feels. But honestly, we’ve all been through it, unless.. YOU are the one on a pedestal.. in that case get out of this house of vibe, this isn’t for you. This is for the mistreated. And you, “oh great one”, caused their/our suffering.
You do realize most people on those pedestals don't put themselves there right..? Like what people think of you is not in your control, and people will put others on a pedestal for even the most mundane things.
When the hero said "your not a villain...you once held my hand-.." I couldn't help but cry because that reminded me of when I was little and everything was perfect. Not a care in the world. And now I'm just a depressed teenager with no real friends
i believe that the hero and villain were once good friends and the hero promised they would never leave the villain behind, because they were friends, and friends dont do that. the villain believed them. but then, one day, the hero started to become recognized as the hero of the story and was offered a better life in the big city, and they left the villain behind without a second glance or even a goodbye. hurt, betrayed and bitter over the broken promise and lies, the villain tried to make the hero feel the pain that they did in the moment they realised their best friend wasnt coming back for them, but only made themselves seen as the villain instead. overtime, the villain became so focused on revenge and making the hero suffer like they did that they lost who they once were. the hero sees their friend is suffering and, like the 'hero' they are, they try to fix the villain's problems. but the villain does not want to talk to them because the person standing before them was not the person they once knew. they were corrupted by fame and publicity and were probably only trying to help the villain for a extra dollars in their pocket. the villain is upset that the hero has changed so drastically but is even more upset that they still care for them. the hero doesnt realise that the villain's problems run deeper than the surface and watches as the villain loses hope of ever getting their friend back and hears the one thing that they never wanted to hear. "you are not my hero. you dont know how it felt." the hero, in this moment, realises that they are at fault here. their friend is only hurt in the first place because they lost the one person who swore they'd never leave. at a loss for what to do, they try to reason with the villain one last time. "you are not the villain.. you once held my hand." but the villain had heard enough, they had lost everything. "stand up, get out. sometimes things dont go as planned." the hero is left alone with the fact that just because you do the right thing doesnt make you a hero.
OMG YES. I should know I mean I'm like the villain. I lost a friend because they got popular and didn't need me enty more. And I only have 3 friends and I think soon 2 does a gf count as a friend if they were u friend before they became u gf. Well if gf don't count then 2 soon 1 friend 😢😔
I just imagine the story of two friends living a normal life, but then the first friend summons a bunch of monsters by accident, this monsters kills both of their families and the second friend allies with the monsters to take revenge on the first friend, becoming the "villain" of the story, and the other one tries to save them from the monster's "manipulation" becoming the "hero". But the villain is actually acting by themselves and the monsters didn't even need to use manipulation.
i think theres more nuance to the hero than just "secretly being the villain", like, i feel like they went too far in trying to save others, and neglected themselves and the "villain" pre villain a bit, and the villain, who always felt bad about their moral standing as someone with a hero but cant be a hero themselves, fell off a wagon of well if they wont pay attention ill make them pay attention, or like theyre taken over by a need for others to see their hurt, yknow? neither are evil, or in the wrong, theyre both blinded by themselves
I feel like this song is like a character having a problem with themselves. Or with somebody close to them. "I'm Sorry." Repeated gives me vines that something happened because the hero didnt do anything. While the villain says "Oh you know nothing of me." It all just gives me Hero vs Villains vibes. But the Hero is The bad guy. Probably the very reason the villain is the villain. I mean. It was probably an accident that happened and possibly somebody close to the villain was caught up in it, Child. Significant other Or Maybe a sibling who either got hurt or died during the accident and maybe None at all. Maybe the Villain is a Villain because their mad that people get harmed while the Hero is trying to get the bad guy whilst hurting civillains unknowingly.
So many people like the villan. I get it but people don’t realize how much the hero is going through. I really relate to the hero because my friends think, “Oh your amazing, popular, an amazing artist that has no parents issues and lives a wonderful life.“ I feel bad because I have a great life, (I’m not popular btw) and others don’t. Sometimes I want to give my life away to someone who is abused, shunned and misunderstood. I don’t want to be the best
I know how you feel all of my friends have either been through something traumatic or have a bad home life and I feel guilty for having a good life even though I shouldn't

i've been scrolling for so long trying to find someone who see's it the same way as i do. for me i see it as my mom being the "hero" since she can be quite manipulative. the whole "i'm just trying to help you, let me help you!" along with "hey, what about the lonely little girls, what about her monsters who prevailed?" "so you're back at it again, twisting and manipulating every word i've said" it just- hits differently 😔✌️
Mate, idk what you're going through, but, if I know something is that our parents loves us, since it's in the nature of humanity, maybe it is hard for you in these days, but I can be pretty sure, that deeply, your parents won't make you feel manipulated by them or some other sorta of things. I think that deeply, you're in their eyes their beloved son, I know for a fact that we are loved, maybe it's not the case for you, Idk you at all, but I can assure you, you're loved. Maybe it's not them, maybe it's someone else, but what I want to say is that maybe what you see as you're parents SUDDENLY wanting to feel like the hero, it's just them realizing that they aren't close enough to you and just want to close the distance. I don't know your situation, once again, but I think that, step by step, one made by you and one from them you can be closer, I hope so for you.

I know they intent to push us to the best but the outcome is so much different because of the actions they did to help us. In which instead, made us sad, lonely, depressed I know that they didn't want it to turn out like this. Its just that they didn't know it would turn out like this.

just reminder that a hero would give you up in a heart beat to save the rest of the world, because one life gone is better than 10 lives gone but a villan wouldn't a villain would sacrifice as many lives/things as needed to keep you safe, and i find that so sweet.
Just a quick little Drabble I came up with while listening to this, please tell me what you think this took forever 😭: The rooftop has 2 silhouettes. a figure on the edge and a lone hero trying to coax them off the roof. The Villain chuckles, but their laugh sounds hollow. Their eyes bright as they yell their sorrows to the Hero. The Hero desperately apologizes, trying anything to get the Villain off the edge. The Villain starts shouting blame and hatred for the Hero, hurtful words bursting from their mouth in desperation to get the most out of their last moments. One final triumph over the Hero. The Hero is horrified, never realizing these actions hurt the Villain, stuttering out apology after apology, wishing one would get through to the Villain and they could go back to how it was before. The Villain pants, finally lost for words as the Hero wipes tears off their face. The Hero extends their hand again, desperately hoping the Villain will finally take it. The villain takes another step, standing on the edge of the roof. Out of the corner of their vision they see the Hero rushes forward, closing their eyes and preparing for the Hero to finally put an end to their reign. Shaking hands grip the back of the torn cape; the villain only remaining on the ledge by the heels of their boots and the hero’s hands. Their eyes are wide, staring at the normally stoic hero, weeping into their expensive fabrics. “Please, please. I’m not trying to be the hero, I want to save you. You can’t go,” the hero sobs, “ I don’t care about sides anymore, it isn’t about that anymore.” The Villain’s breath stutters, swaying on the edge. The Hero doesn’t stop talking. “Please don’t leave,” they plead, “You’re so important to me, I can’t lose you. I know we fight and fight and fight but I care about you and I hope you care about me. Please-“ The Villain steps back from the ledge, the Hero falling onto the pavement as they lose their balance. Staring up at the imposing figure of the villain, an unreadable expression, their silhouette framed by the dusk sky, calm in it’s blues and yellows. The Villain’s hands grip the hero’s suit, dragging them up until they stand together on the rooftops edge, the golden yellow of the setting sun making the scene almost poetic. The Villain tilts their head forward, brushing their lips as the hero close their eyes. “I win.” The Villain drags the Hero down with them, The Hero screaming and struggling in their grasp. Fighting each other for the last time as the ground rushes towards them. The rooftop is empty.

Heyyyy i want to explain this story if it’s a little hard for people to interpret! Basically, the villain is hurting and is blaming their hurt on the hero because it’s easier than admitting their own faults. The hero has never tried to hurt or manipulate the villain and is trying to do anything to get their lover and rival to come with them. The villain has twisted the narrative in their head, convincing themselves that the hero is a terrible person and the cause of all their problems. So the villain pulls them off the roof with them, viewing them only as their antagonist and not as the lover they’ve come to know. Basically I wanted to write a Drabble where the villain has the Black and White morality and the hero understands that the world is Morally Grey! Anyway hope that helps anyone who wanted more clarification :)
