Heart, don't fail me now! Courage, don't desert me! Don't turn back now that we're here. People always say Life is full of choices. No one ever mentions fear! Or how the world can seem so vast On a journey ... to the past. Somewhere down this road I know someone's waiting Years of dreams just can't be wrong! Arms will open wide. I'll be safe and wanted Fin'lly home where I belong. Well, starting now, I'm learning fast On this journey to the past Home, Love, Family. There was once a time I must have had them, too. Home, Love, Family, I will never be complete Until I find you... One step at a time, One hope, then another, Who knows where this road may go Back to who I was, On to find my future. Things my heart still needs to know. Yes, let this be a sign! Let this road be mine! Let it lead me to my past And bring me home... At last!
I was going to but someone else has uploaded them now so I don't think there is much point. if you want to see the rest they're here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-beTUnBtSAf8.html
Take a really really deep breath right after "At". You have to suck in pretty fast. That's like the only way you can sustain it. Make sure you breathe with your diaphragm and lungs simultaneously
I have a question, how old is Anya in the musical? I know she was about 8 at the very beginning but then time passes (10 years?) when the family is murdered. Do the events happen right after when she’s about 18? Or is she older?
Hey, don't know if you knew this... but in the musical version, this song comes at a very different place than in the movie. I think this version is pretty great considering they didn't really touch this song in terms of music. The pacing of this song is more dreamy and, i think, serves the musical more. It's more dreamy/act one finisher in the stage adaptation than the charged uplifting "I Want" number it is in the film.
