I LOVE BOTH LEA AND LIZ!!! When Lea played Kim in Miss Saigon, Liz played Ellen - and during this production they both auditioned for Aladdin, but Lea got the voice role of Jasmine. Liz then sang for Jasmine in the second movie, and then Lea came back for the third Aladdin movie. And Liz earned the role of Odette in The Swan Princess. In 1997, Liz received the voice role of Anastasia, and in 1998, Lea earned the voice role of Mulan. Just some facts for you!!! I love these women so much!!!
lea did not comeback in the third movie, there is no song that she sung in the third aladdin movie, the song in the third movie title out of thin air and it was sung by liz callaway

When I first heard this song the first thing come in to my mind it was Lea who sang this for the movie Anastacia. Liz Callaway and Her really sounded a like. I love them both esp Lea Salonga (An avid fan here 🙌). And now I think my day is complete knowing Lea sung also this song that I mistakenly thought it was her who sang this originally. Lea did not auditioned for Anastasia.. She was so busy with miss saigon and les miserables during that time.. That is the reason why liz Callaway was the singing voice of jasmine in aladdin's sequels.. Lea got the first part but lea and Liz was the last two standing during the auditioned for Princess jasmine... And Liz Callaway did the sequels because they do sound alike... Or maybe I'm wrong or haven't heard of it..

I watched a video where Gerphil sang the German song with the scene where she was dancing in the hall and I thought it was fantastic! But hearing Lea sing this, magical things entered my mind! It's making me feel wonderful! Truly a Disney Legend, my love!

Lea is pitch perfect as usual, but Liz's version has more joy and passion in it. Lea has more drama and pride in her singing, while Liz seems more vulnerable and warmer, but effortlessly powerful. Both are incredible singers.

The truth is that I am a star magic workshop student on basic voice and I am one of the soloists of Journey to the Past and wow,published on my recital and on of my favorite artists is Lea.
Lea sings that word ‘past’ perfectly. The girl who plays Anastasia scoops that note in her RU-vid videos. I am not sure if it’s the musical director.s direction but it’s a turn off. Lea does it so well.
I also actually thought it was her that sang this in the movie production. Sad to have known it was a different singer but none the less, Liz Callaway is a great singer. I just prefer Lea over her a hundred times.
Lea is amazing as always, but I think Liz hits the high notes more effortlessly and keeps her tone fuller. Most people tend to favor Lea, and Liz is sort of underrated... but if you listen carefully, Liz surpasses Lea at times.
Liz simply has a fuller tone, doesn’t mean it’s objectively better. Liz also tends to fall back on her falsetto more than Lea, so it honestly balances out.

Lea and Liz used to sound so alike with gorgeous, flowy voices, but Liz’s voice has developed a nasal and scratchy texture as she got older that it’s quite bothersome to hear her nowadays. Still love her, though!
