Really appreciate you for these Måneskin reactions. Like that you pay attention to the lyrics as well as the instrumental and make the effort to try and interpret. In a way, this is a love story but i interpret it as a love story between a bunch of misfits (aka, the band and Marlena which is the name they have given to their muse, representing their art, creativity and the values and ideals they hold.) Essentially, with Malena, they have the strength to keep going and they become unstoppable. I always take the phrase pack light to mean that, you will need to make sacrifices on the way. Now that they have the strength to break free and follow their own path outside of social and societal norms they become powerful, beautiful and can die as King. The music video is a really good illustration of the concept and worth a watch.

My comments are: 1) this is a song dedicated to Marlena, their Artistic Inspiration, not a girl/lady so this is a love song for their art and music, 2) the official music video is full of strange and funny things, nothing is like it seems 😉 each member of the band has a role in the Circus show, 3) a love (but toxic love) song by Maneskin is "For your love" in English but if you want to react to something more angry (similar to Rage against the Machine) you should listen to "In nome del Padre" with subtitle... It is an explicit song 😅
