This winning perfomance was so epic ! It was a freakin bad-ass incredible performance ! They are topping the charts in all Europe right now They are tearing it up here now . to me the deal was done with "Coraline"; if the listener (e.g. with the help of a subtitled lyrics video) can follow the lyrics, the "interpretation" of the song by Damiano is very appropriate; nowadays it's rare to find singers that can actually focus on what is important for the song to fully "bloom" in its evolution - and thus communicate with the listener; even rarer to find it in top ten positons.
@@JenniferGlatzhofer Hi Jennifer as luca says, “vent'anni” and “Coraline” are two masterpieces,if I can give you some advice I would start with "coraline" with English subtitles, a beautiful song as melody but of a high level like lyric.However, it's hard to choose which is the best song, it depends on personal preference, because they are all good songs. @@JenniferGlatzhofer I suggest you the live performance of 'Vent'anni ' on X Factor 2020, while for Coraline they sang it just once live, but there were problems with the in-ear and Damiano didn't sound as good as he usually does

Damiano.has such a raspy but clear voice. You should check the vevo acoustic version of torna a casa their most famous song. La paura del buio from radio italia is also magnificient

There are three bands all comprised of family members all born after 2000, and each band has a remarkable and very unique young singer. One band is Motion Device, from Canada (singer Sara Menoudakis); one is Liliac, from the US (singer is Melody Christea); and one is The Warning, from Mexico (Daniela Villareal is the singer and lead guitarist). Each of these is the singer's natural voice, so especially noteworthy is that Melody Christea is not "doing" a voice; this is her normal natural singing voice, like Janis Joplin). The last one "Theatro d´ira" is more rock orientated, but don´t forget the older one "Il ballo della Vita" with wonderful tracks. If you want to do another analysis of this Band try "AMANDOTI" Live at Radio Italia 2021 or at Sanremo 2021. This is wonderful !

Listen to more of their stuff, these guys are incredibly talented and have many exceptionally good songs even though they only have a couple of albums. Also over the past month or so these guys popularity has exploded all over Europe, the world actually!

Fellow half dutch half italian here...from a vocal/lyrical point of view, for Damiano, I would suggest you listen to their cover of Back to black (yes, Amy Winehouse)... and "la paura del buio" the live version, where I feel Damiano particularly shines for..different reasons. As a song however, my absolute favourite is Coraline... I would suggest you watch the version with English subtitles, if you're not 100% solid on your Italian...and focus on the lyrics... also, bring tissues.
Great to see someone who speaks English and understands some Italian give a reaction on this song. I too missed all of Eurovision this year and only saw a short clip on the news here in Australia (we are big fans of ESC) of Maneskin's closing performance after being awarded the trophy, where they sang the original (NSFW) lyrics which included a couple of slang/swear words that I recognised but clearly the news editor did not. Discussing it with my Italian father that day I said, "I think the lyrics of the winning song included balls and dick". So we spent a full minute listing off the possible euphemisms and anatomically correct words they could have said- much hilarity ensued. I'm a big fan of theirs now and add me to the list of viewers who want you to do their song Coraline next.

Definitely do keep on listening, they are really an amazing band and he's a very gifted and well trained singer. I would suggest you watch their live performance of "La paura del buio", the version at Radio Italia is really good, and I think you will be pleasantly surprised about his vocal delivery, especially considering it's a live performance too. And, definitely, you should watch "Amandoti", especially the SanRemo version, that they sang together with Manuel Agnelli. I don't know him much, but he seems to also be a great performer. Because of RAI regulations you can't watch the video here on RU-vid, but still listen to the song. I have the streamable link somewhere, if you want. Seeing reactions to some more of Måneskin's music would obvs be great, but also, with the way you described being into musical theatre/liking 'character' in performances, if you're into doing anymore Eurovision 2021 reactions I think you'd definitely be into Switzerland's entry, Gjon's Tears with Tout L'Univers. @@JenniferGlatzhofer I think you would be in the perfect position to also react to other Maneskin songs (especially those in Italian...) :-) Most people underestimate actually the lyrical creativity of Damiano, who writes the songs. I was stunned by Coraline and Vent'anni - most English-singing rock bands could not come up with such powerful and deep lyrics. Both songs are also on 'Teatro d'Ira Vol. 1', which I believe strongly will be nominated for several Music awards when the time comes, maybe even for a Grammy.
