@Michael Scofield I am confused. Do you really think rock is in any way a uniform genre? There is no official definition of rock. There is no official definition of any genre, really. At this point people mostly label bands and artists by how they choose to define themselves and that makes sense, esspecially with rock music. Most bands that feature somewhat aggressive attitude and some form of guitar and drum based instrumentation will define themselves as rock and as such, their music is rock. This whole elitist 'only this specific subgenre/artist/era is rock' viewpoint is honestly just tiring and childish.

I'm italian and I've been a Maneskin fan for three years, I've always loved their music and stage presence but seeing so many kind and encouraging comments from people of different nationalities who appreciate a song entirely in italian is giving me goosebumps. I want to thank everyone who voted for them ( I couldn't!) and who listened and liked this song. Music language is universal.

Actually Maneskin's style is really different from the "traditional" italian songs and that's why they struggled a bit at first to become famous but they're really popular in Italy and worldwide now! @@finnjones9979 Ahahahah xD I'm happy too ofc xD I've listened to the French song again after the finals and I think she is really talented but that song would sound really better as a movie soundtrack. Yes italian singers usually make romantic ballads but there are many minor rock groups that sing in italian too! It's not as good as english in songs, in my opinion, but it's a more elegant language. Honestly I was so freaking happy (and surprised!) when Maneskin won our national contest, usually it's always won by traditional ballads (and it's a bit boring for me)..

The lead singer is handling the stage and the camera in such a cool way. I think the stage is impressed by his coolness. They also seem to have a friendship that is one of a kind, which is cool. It probably gives them much self-confidence on stage that they can count on each other 100 %.

Not only jazz, also a bit of funky. And if you can "do mistakes" in rock because it's part of the performance, you can't do the same in funk and jazz, that's what makes Damiano and Thomas (the guitarist, which has a huge funk education) amazing

i've actually seen many people saying that damiano, the vocalist, and thomas, the guitarist, have a jazz "background", but actually damiano is a soul singer, victoria, the bassist, prefers pop, thomas roots for rock and ethan, the drummer, played a lot of jazz. they just managed to make a unique, new sound combining their styles. TALENT.

Italy has no choice. You get acces to Eurovision through winning "Sanremo Festival". An Italian competition where you can sing, well, just in Italian. And that same song is what gets presented to Eurovision. They're great in English too. They covered a lot of songs through their X Factor's journey. Look for them!!

I am a Serbian and I'm very proud of Italian performers who won the Eurovision song contest. I didn't know for this band before the Eurovision, but when I heard the song for the very first time I knew it that Itally will be the winner. What a magical voice. Bravooo! ❤️👢❤️
