Kia Kanuta is the Head Chef at Ada in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. He recently won a Lewisham Award for most Outstanding Chef in Auckalnd 2024. We visit Ada to speak to Kia about his award and his food which speaks to his Māori heritage. He's championing the use of Māori ingredients and cooking techniques and helping to tell the Aotearoa New Zealand food story with his cooking. Open for breakfast Friday-Saturday 8am-11am and Sunday 8am-10:30am, lunch Thursday and Friday 12pm-3pm, dinner Tuesday to Saturday 5pm-late and Saturday and Sunday long lunch 11am-5pm.
