When you 2 got home and flopped on the bed I chuckled then you put your faces together I almost cried. I so long for those little moments again. Not you even though it's cute when others have them. I haven't been in those moments in a long time. You 2 are so lucky. Don't ever let those little moments go. And now I'm crying lol.🥲
It is always so good to be reminded of appreciating the little things like this :') thank you so much for your sweet words ❤️ and I hope you will experience it again soon!! ✨️
@WivesVsWorld I really hope so even though I'm not sure how it will happen. The last time I was with someone it was for 15 years. We didn't get much time together but I tried. Yeah loyalty can really suck. I started my transition just before we met. I told her everything. She was a popular Dj so she traveled a lot. She lived near Holland and I'm in America. After 15 years she told me she got married 3 years into our relationship. Her husband wanted us to stay together. I told them I can't fell someone's shoes if they're still in them. She tried to convince me to stay friends with her then she had the nerve to ask if I was hurt or mad. I had no idea. That was 23 year's ago. I think. Days and nights have blinded together in a blur and I'm lost on how to move on. I still feel her hair and hear her voice. Sorry for rambling. Good luck and have fun.
Well this was fun! I'd love to visit that area of the world sometime soon -- I was in Finland and Sweden previously, but that was way back in 2012. Also, love your kitty!
I'm not opposed to mayo on fries, I just don't eat them that way. I prefer red sauce! Jackie, your eyes are amazingly beautiful. And Anya, I love your outfits!!! 💜
omg that's so cool you two look like you had an amazing time together. i'm so glad you had so much fun. and it's was really cool to watch. and mayonnaise goes, in fact, on french fries. also i really love this kind of format and i really would love to see more. and since you asked for feedback, i would just say that if you want to make more travel vlogs (or any other narrated vlog) i would recommend to check maya higa which is a conservationist on youtube and make really funny and cool vlogs with "voice over maya who comments everything, even herself".
Great video! That green jacket brings out the green in your eyes nicely, Jackie 😊. I love seeing your adventures. I don't mind stroopwafle but it isn't my favourite. I do think that mayo belongs on chips! 🇬🇧
What a lovely trip! It looks like you two had a lot of fun. Thank you for sharing these moments with us all! With regards to mayo, my opinion is that it is best on okonomiyaki ^_^
All hail to the mayo on fries gods. Probably Dionysos or or so. 😂 I hope your book keeps on beeing recognised mine sold a whopping 100 copys before landing on the index for being not safe for children (who would have thought, since its a Thriller 😂)
Dionysos would approve tbh 😂 Whattt that sucks! But does that matter since it's for adults anyway? 🤔 (asking genuinely bc that could easily happen to me too)
@@WivesVsWorld Here such books are prohibited from being sold "over the counter" or even being openly displayed. So No Advertisement, but If you got a Publisher on your Side with lawyers its way easier to circumvent that. I am working on a Translation to English and will try my luck in my second Home.
Oh wow! That's very interesting 🤔 I'm sorry that happened. What country are you in? But yeah, having a book in English definitely opens up a bigger market 🙌
You both are so cute together, and it looks like you had a wonderful time on your trip!! To answer your question, mayonnaise on fries is so good, but if you mix mayonnaise and ketchup together, it's even better!!
Thank you for making and publishing these lovely funny videos, yours is a love that really shines through the camera experiences, especially in on-the-spot affectionate tidbits you don't edit out. I'm appreciative of the intimate perspective I get to hear or watch when you two are making/supporting your other lives work around this videography and on vacation. Been watching your idealized content the last two days when I discovered it for myself and let your side channel also pop my TikTok cherry. 🍒🌸 I can identify with being a queer lesbian writer/artist 🏳🌈🪶(not so much video uploader) but in Seattle/PNW and to be honest it's hard to witness/come across (cis with trans) couple success stories online and harder to find or see in person. Perhaps this wives vs world life view and more stories like yours will inspire a needed cultural lens shift and break down stigmas that persist or at the least stir up more envy from all sides. Because dang, for some in the community the cis/trans kind of relationship is idealized- you have it made and I would speculate most here know it, however on the surface or buried deep for some. From my recent binge-watch, I've heard you mention "may help" or "helping" in reference to what these video formats can do for certain questioning audience members. I can attest to these kinds of queer/trans exposure videos is what helped break through for braver strides and facing reality on identity topics when starting to deal with my mental health a long time ago. A lot more they can do than that. Proof of concept.
I didn't know that you are an author! Plus you got to go to the Netherlands for an interview? Lucky! I hope I can reach the same level of success as you did someday. - Alice, hopeful amateur writer
@@WivesVsWorld I would have said hi if i was sure it was you! But also you deserve to just exist without being bothered :P you looked great and even smiled back 😁pretty sure you clocked me as a transgirl haha
@bywd it's always wonderful to meet people tho ❤️ hahah I'm so glad to hear that! And I don't remember seeing any trans ppl so you probably just looked cute 😌❤️
Oooooh lovely! I quite enjoyed a lot of my netherlands visits bar the single one to Amsterdam hah! Perfect video for a sickday at home 😊 As a sidenote Anya's eyebrows always look so nice ❤
Hahaha interesting! I'm sure Amsterdam is wonderful under the right circumstances! So happy we could keep you company ❤️ And thank you so much for saying that :')) ❤️✨️
So cute. I love the hair too. Personally, I don't like travelling abroad because there's so much to think about, and I'm not keen on flying either. But, there's a difference, as I live in the UK so there's a lot more in the way because we're not in the common border area (or whatever its called).
it was very exciting to see you do all the stuff you were talking about to try. you should definitely come back and spend some more time here to really experience it all. flanor for sure would love it if you came by again! mayo 100% belongs on fries! and stroopwafels are awesome. love dutch snacks! but i'm dutch so i'm biased.
It was all so wonderful! (We also tried frikandel but forgot to record it, but it was also really good!) We'd love to come back and spend more time!! Hopefully some day in the future 😍 Hahah yessss you are so correct 🙌 we want to try more of them!
mayo on french fries absolutely rips, if you wanna go wild and really disgrace your loved ones id highly recommend adding some Laogonma chilli crisp to the mayo. its really a killer combo.
I only discovered your channel a little while ago so color my surprise when one of the first videos you upload since I subscribed is you visiting my home town! (Groningen, not Amsterdam hehe.) Very interesting seeing you visit all of these spots around town that are so familiar to me. I happened to visit Copenhagen earlier this year to help my brother move, didn't get to see too much of the city but did really like it. Small world! :P Not many reccs for Amsterdam because honestly I need to visit more myself, but if you care about art & have time, the Rijksmuseum is really nice. Kind of low hanging fruit tourism stuff, but worth seeing!
Hahaha what a wild coincidence! Must be fate! And I'm so happy you enjoyed the video:') thank you so much! And I'm happy you enjoyed your glimpse of Copenhagen, I hope you get to go on a proper visit sometime! 🥰 Haha that's fair - and def a good suggestion, thank you ❤️
Hoi Jackie and Anya that was a funny vid . i hope that had a nice day in the netherland.i would love to see more videos like that i love those vids and i look forward to that other video with that interview.✌👍❤ greeting from the netherland
Thank you so much for saying that!! We were a little nervous about the video since it isn't our usual content :') thank you for all your kind words!! ❤️❤️❤️
We do our best ❤️ we both struggle a lot with mental health issues, so we know the feeling 💔 there's definitely so much joy to be found in life still, and we hope you get to experience it as well. Thank you so much for watching and much love from us both ✨️
So Anja speaks Dutch, maybe? Stropwaffels are great, poffertjes too. And I thought mayonnaise on fries was an abomination until I tried it in the Netherlands 😊 xx Iona
Not even a little, unfortunately:') my father didn't teach me a single thing even though he grew up there. Hahaha glad you came around! Some things sound crazy but are surprisingly good!
It's so cool you two went to Groningen. I'd say it's one of the prettier city's in the Netherlands but not that touristy. Glad you both enjoyed your stay
Good to see you both i think it's pretty cool that you both write a book I will definitely check out the auto book hope it's on Spotify it looks really cool to see what what the Netherlands looks like believe it or not I wrote a short story about me and the vampire that is a guy and he is gothic and gay too at the end of the story me and the vampire kissed for 30 minutes
The only stroopwafel I've tried tasted great, but it had an artificial sweetener that caused, lets say strange digestive consequences. I'd definitely be down to try ones with real sugar. As for mayo on fries, it seems weird because it's unfamiliar, but I've had flavored mayo (usually chipotle spices) and that's delicious. Fries are pretty flexible so I don't see why plain mayo wouldn't be tasty too.
Oh no hahah! Definitely recommend the sugar kind then 😂 That's true! I can vouch for it being delicious hahah and as you say, fries are good with most things tbh 🙌
Granted I'm part Belgian (and part Swedish) so won't comment on whom is the best behaved on bikes but I like mayo on fries (the Belgians who served them to me called them chips but I guess that's by the by) and while I prefer salad cream, mayo is definitely good, granted I've never had stroopwafle (but I don't like caramel) although I do like that dish where chocolate is sprinkled on bread. Still lovely to watch your content and nice to see the Netherlands again (last time I went they were still using Gilders) and so always nice to see.
A vegan perspective: Stroopwaffel's great, but it's too often made with egg and/or dairy! Every now and then I find some without. Chips and mayonnaise are great, but I don't think I ever would have thought so with "real" mayonnaise! The vegan version, for some reason, is much better.
I only eat frietjes with mayo :) I don't like ketchup so much :) If ever you come to Belgium or The Netherlands and it's not far - and if you're up for a little meet and greet - let me know :) Big fan here :)
Hahah you're so sweet! Thank you so much for looking forward to the audiobook:') it'll be a while still, but we're doing our best 💪 We have not, no! Should we? 👀
@@WivesVsWorld Ofc! It needs time to be really good. But I'm so excited 😁 Yesss, I'm so into it. It has some horror vibes, but it's amazing. And I think one of the characters might be non-binary. They at least go by they/them pronouns 😊
OMG HEY GUYS!
Congratulations Anya 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 Happy International Lesbian Day 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 This hotel hall was so bizzare, that i think designer workink on it was trippin hard "I see zebra head's and golden gorillas 😵💫" 😂 And sorry for that, but my autistic brain wants me to ask you, are there board games a top of your closet?
Thank you so much - it felt so huge!! :') Thank youuuu!!!! 🥳🥳🥳 Yeah the interior design was for sure a Choice 😂 Hahaha we love board games! They sure are! Don't know if they're internationally known but we have Globetrotter, Draw and Guess, Bezzerwizzer, HINT, and a puzzle 😂
@@WivesVsWorld I never played this games, but probobly will try if ocasion occurs. Me and my wife, have bajilion board games (I would attach picture but that won't go in youtube comments :P). Lately we like to play Gloomhaven, Terraforming Mars, Splendor, Talisman, Carcassone. Also we do anually tournaments in Magic: The Gathering and Pokemon TCG (We only play ourselves but we eleminate decks that lost :D). Oh! and i play boardgame version of Heroes Of Might and Magic 3 with my friend. It's great if you liked the video game :D Sorry, I'm such a nerd. I started to write about boardgames and I couldn't stop XD
It is a horrible crime not to put mayonaise on your fries. Peanutsause and raw unions are recommended with that. Me personally am a big fan of the Danish smoked shark, really good. Hope to get it soon again.
I enjoyed your video', as usual. The cyclists in Amsterdam are maybe a bit more impatient because of tourists walking on the bicycle paths, but in general my experience is that we are quite civilized when cycling 😉 And please, visit again but try to visit some other cities when in Amsterdam. Leiden, Haarlem, Alkmaar, The Hague and Rotterdam are also worth visiting (and less 'tourist' heavy'.) Amsterdam is in the Netherlands, but not THE Netherlands..... And if you thought the mayonaise is unusual, next time try 'patatje oorlog' or patatje satésaus...
I actually went to both Rotterdam and The Hague as a kid bc that's where my dad grew up! Definitely would like to revisit and see more of the Netherlands 🥰 Oooh that sounds interesting! Thank you for the recommendation ^^
@@WivesVsWorld 'Patatje Oorlog' literally means: 'War Fries'. Many people think it has to do with the colonial past (peanut/saté sauce from the Dutch Indies) but the name simply means 'mess on your plate'. It's just street slang.” ) has a mix of mayonaise, peanut sauce, and fresh, finely chopped onions. In some parts of the Netherlands also a bit of curry sauce in the mix. If you visit the Rotterdam-area, try the streetfood of a 'Bram Ladage'...
