This is the original Drill music. The only difference with the shit these dudes doing nowadays is the beats nd the simplistic ABC rhymes. Same subject matter though.
this song was written on Atlantic and Saratoga ave,at my brothers house. We were seeing which of us were better, it was a tie. Then we all wrote verses to see who could write the hardest verse, according to boobang my verse was, and hardcore was born. Slap, A man, it's see, Tidis brother, want to get together and do a track, so I can come out
Loving that INTRO/CHORUS😚 The way his accent sounds!!, when saying? How about some hard core!. 😍😍 Sounds muddy/dirty Like some parts of the southeast of England/Britain/uk accent would speak. Old school London accent 😆 Etc. ..
Lyrics [Hook: Billy Danze] How about some hardcore? (Yeah, we like it raw!) How about some hardcore? (Yeah, we like it raw!) How about some hardcore? (Yeah, we like it raw!) How about some hardcore? (Yeah, we like it raw!) [Verse 1: Billy Danze] How about some hardcore? all the shit I listen to is all from the 90s that when rap made sense, not this garbage now a days like fetty wap and drake glad to see these tunse kickin around so I can see how good rap really was and still is to a lot of people
Guru? He had one of the worst voices ever. Lyrics were amazing, but voice, no. DMX, Ice Cube, Chuck D, Rakim, Prodigy, Jadakiss.....now those are voices.
Damn rite! My Favorite group of all time... Real music, real street life shit! Niggaz didn't play,I don't think I even heard a rapper diss these niggaz! What that tell ya🎆🎇🎉 fireworks and I'm not talking about a party or the 4th
@@torreybethea3485 dats a big fact no rappers ever diss them dats 90s Brownsville and east new York smoke they was killing so many ppl back there they put book out about it
@Torrey Bethea they cool with Smoothe and Trigga.. That little beef/misunderstanding was settled and it was nice to hear a long awaited collabo with them..
***** "how about some hardcore, yeah we like it rugged in the ghetto, I used to pack sling shots but now im packing heavy metal"-Rip anything anyone else said.
this shit still gives me chills up my spine. too raw and gritty when hip hop was authentic. not this watered down mess u hear today. im glad i was born in the era of the realness...whew! thank you, Lord :)
What can I say, it is just as powerful as it was when it came out. This is 2019. 25 years and they're still homeboys, after all that touring together, always respecting what each of them brought to the table and keep'in it 100 through all the trials of there friendship is remarkable enough, but Billy's killa delivery and crazy murderous energy, and LIl Fame's gifted hood bars and street talk, and metaphors, and both of there voices puts them in a class all by themselves with there street experiences they lived through, and street credentials, one of Hip Hop's authentic duo's.
This video captures the vibe of the early 90's NYC when it was still dangerous and grimy, but change was on the horizon when Giuliani was elected mayor at the end of 93, and that was the beginning of the end of this era
So true. THESE dudes aren't like the fake thugs Drake, Rick Ross, Baby, and Lil Wayne. THESE guys, let's just say these guys really need to keep rapping for the safety of society. Thank goodness they found rap. RU-vid gangstas really need to stop.
these champion sweaters were wide, had baggy sleeves, but werent really tall though lol. i still had some of them. those all had ''reverse weave'' neck tag. late 80s till like 1994 or 1995. then after the atlanta olympics cut kinda changed i noticed.
Hip Hop at its finest!! Who make this type shit nowadays?? Please tell me?? - Yeah, we like it rugged in the ghetto, I used to pack sling shots, but now I`m packin heavy metal...
growing up in bedstuy during this time was some scary times..lol i use to walk down this part of brownsville all the time to get to my friend house as a kid, scary times..lol
The streets NEED to take back HipHop!!! Duck HipPop mumble bumble rap (altho Trap beats on their own are dope) need real lyricists and the streets to take the game back!!! 🎤🎼🎶🎼🔥🔥
Jay Warner it’s just too hard to get away with a lot of the things people did in the 90s in today’s age. But I do wish more lyricist lived their lives like this instead of j Cole being lyrical about rich problems and shit like that
Jqwentian Maletopo I was thinking the same thing...cole, logic, kendrick, joey badass...they’re all tight and gifted yet I find ‘em all super boring...it’s like they have no flavor..just good students of the game nothing else. It seems like everything is calculated like they’re embarking on a career instead of making art matter....it’s like comparing The Clash and Green Day ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YAijqeCbdro.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2hHUdW1N3v8.html

fizzy is just on a whole other level! ....."lil fame is like an orthopaedic shoe, i got mad sole" ....fame is easily one of my favourite rappers of all time and it's crazy how slept on and underrated he is! Smh
Now I have a theory that to my knowledge hasn't been adressed anywhere about the first verses in Biggie's song Machine Gun Funk: "So you wanna be hardcore? With your hat to the back Talkin' about the gats in ya raps But I can't feel that hardcore appeal that you're screamin'" Now I think it might refer to M. O. P. which in 93 had a debut single How About Some Hardcore and in video you can even see Lil Fame with his hat to the back rapping about guns! Also MOP are known for their screaming style of rapping (just like other rap group Onyx). Now on the contrary I rejected later my own theory as in next song Warning you hear Biggie rapping he got love for Lil Fame (remember MOP are from Brownsville): "Remember them niggas from the hill up in Brownsville That you rolled dice with, smoked blunts and got nice with? Yeah, my nigga Fame up in Prospect Nah, them my niggas, nah, love, wouldn't disrespect" But in the end I say why not, Biggie was friends with them but he was also competetive so maybe he really mocked Lil Fame in Machine Gun Funk, what you think, was it a subliminal diss on Biggie's side?
top 5 easy to top3 rap groups all time. prob the hardest ever m.o.p, wu-tang, & nwa hardest but m.o.p spit tht straight hood tht if you come from tht background they're ur fav hands dwn no question especially back then just straight pure raw dope i love these guys & still rock their music evry album ever made & waiting on the next to drop
Absolutely correct. Not disrespecting the West, but my God late eighties, early nineties? West couldn't even compete. Yeah, Dre and Snoop to an extent, but that's about it.
@@jamelcrawford2815 You sound offended....The dude is str8 up correct....the EASTCOAST is str8 BEAST in many ways when it comes to HARDCORE hip hop they created.....not even the westcoast gangsta rap can't f**k with the eastcoast hardcore sshit...NO CONTEST.... So go do your research and quit crying 😂😂💯
@@izzythomas848 ABSOLUTELY...its so true the westside and it's fans take it so personal...because they cant compete against the EASTCOAST 😎👊💪....NO CONTEST 💯💯
@@jamelcrawford2815 it's not an ignorant statement. Rap originated, then grew, and was perfected in New York and the East Coast. So they were clearly ahead of the West. Of course they were great groups and acts from the West in the late eighties and nineties. At that time the West was beginning their own movement. Again, not a diss. Just a historical rap fact for that specific time.
This is the kind of group that makes me contradict myself about listening to gangster music let's face it what kind of innovative wind instrument would be thrown in a rap song and make the song set them apart from any hardcore rapper back in that day that saxophone was amazing first rappers voice fit the song so perfectly
