Nice video! I don't really follow the new bimmers too closely but I checked this one out because it's an f30 and I have an e30. I love how the msport steering wheel looks pretty close to the og one and not clunky. You got a new sub!

Hey, looking for some advice! Im planning on doing this steering wheel upgrade to my 1 series as I like the look and want to have cruise (i know I need cruise coding). Most f30 steering wheels seem to have paddles and my car is a manual, I know the paddles wont work which is fine (ill remove them most likely) but will have the paddle version confused the car? Will I HAVE to remove the paddles not to confuse the car?

Thanks for this video. I just did the m sport steering swap. I was wondering besides paddle shifter coding is there any other coding we should be concerned about like airbag etc.? I did have a "chases stabilization" warning come up on my test drive.

The seller is from Latvia, so theres a high chance that your wheel really is a stolen wheel from Norway. There has been a group of eastern europe people who break into new BMW’s in Norway and steal the wheels and iDrive, and most of those things On eBay from there abouts is stolen.

Hey Swift I am aslo upgrading my steering wheel to M SPORT doing the install myself. But a local shop that works on BMW's told me the only way to get the paddle shifters to work is if I also buy the airbag coil which I believe is like another $400 did you have to do this to get your shifters to work?

Swift were you able to code your msprt wheel? Were any of your airbag connectors broken? I bought an mpsort with paddle shift and dual stage airbag, however the yellow connector on the airbag had a broken clip so it won't click onto the steering wheel. I'm returning the unit

Hi Shumile - thx for the great video! I'm planning to get a M wheel and change it with the exact same wheel as in the video. Can you share your experience so far? Can I put the new wheel in and drive it without coding (i would code later)? Also are there any failure messages logged? So basically you can built it in and drive - code the paddles later? Orhan Arslan yes that’s pretty much what I did, but you must code it before driving for safety purposes if you got a dual stage airbag for a car that’s coded for single stage, or vice versa. Theoretically you can install the wheel, plug it in and drive but you should atleast code the airbag to work to its proper functionality. Safety first! Thank you so much, greetings from NYC!
