Another Tire Talk Tuesday where we discuss the AMS M1 Evil Tire! It is a 8 ply, DOT approved SXS / UTV tire worth consideration if you are looking for an all around tire. Steven has put about 400 miles on these tires with his Polaris RZR 1000 XP 4 in West Virginia, at the Spearhead Trails in Virginia, and in Brimstone in TN. Overall this is a great all around tire for any SXS / UTV!

I just ordered my first set of the M1 evils. Everyone around my area in West Virginia says they are a very good tire.

Our local Les Schwab tire store sells these, so availability here is great. I like the looks of them. I'll be trying them on my Arctic cat here pretty soon..

How would EFX motoclaws handle mud/rocks/technical trails/fire roads compared to xtr370? Based off one of your previous comments I can rule out ams m1 evil.

I'm thinking about running two sets of tires. I'm thinking about running roxxilla sticky when I'm doing crazy trails. The bad thing about roxxilla is they wear out quick. When I'm doing not so crazy trails and more road riding I'm thinking about using these M1 tires. After my big horns go bald of course. They sound like they would be better on rocks than the bighorn and should last much longer.

Well the m1s will let long but I wouldn't say that they are substantially better gripping than bighorns but they do come in bigger sizes. And yeah you can't beat Roxxzillas on traction!

Great reviews. I liked your 5 key points. Have you done any reviews on Sedona tires. I would be curious to see how the Sedona RipSaws perform versus the AMS M1 Evil. Thanks

Thanks I appreciate it! I have not done any reviews of any Sedonas! It seems like the Roxxzillas and XTR 370s are alot of people's favorite tires currently.

I have run Tensors, Bighorns, Terrabites, Carnivores and now ITP Terra Hooks in west VA on a Rzr and now an X3. With the hardpack, high speed running and the inevitable road riding when doing outlaws, I think the Evil M1 might well be the best of them all for all around east coast riding. They look like they would last a long time too (Tensors lasted great...Carnivores were done in 1200 miles and the Terra Hooks do not look like they will last long). Your vid has pushed me to get a set of the M1's I think

The M1 Evils are a pretty good tire especially if you are trying to get a lot miles out of them!

@@mandytuning Traction is good and they ride very smooth. I doubt I get much more than 1000 miles out of them, but thats ok as they are cheap and they ride so much better than the Carnivores on hard pack

@@gtsum2 i have itp for street use cause they are dot,but never had take them to offroading.i have some system 3 300 for the offroad and was wondering how good the terra hook will be on royal blue area and on rocks. My terra have 1200miles on black top only and still like new.

you like the x3 better than the rzr. only reason i didn’t like the x3 when i looked at one is the seating position because i climb a lot of hills.

Are these tires relatively quiet when you are driving on pavement? I'm getting rid of my current tires only because they are so dang loud over about 25 mph on pavement. Looking for a quieter alternative.

They aren't noticeably loud but most utv tires are loud on pavement. What kind of tires you been running?

@@Trailnecks I really like them they are certainly a good tire for rocky trail riding which is great here in WV. They do great in some mud too. They basically do good on just about everything and are pretty strong tires.

Sidewalls are pretty good, this is a pretty tough tire!

was thinking of putting a set on my grizzly. 27"x11"x12" on the back and 27"x9"x12" front. was u guys think?

It's a pretty good tire. Dont know if the grizzly can clear tires that big without some offset wheels but thers only one way to find out lol

I had the Rockers and loved them, wish they made them in a 30. I currently have the Growlers in a 30 and I'm very happy with them.

thats funny, the Terra hook is on my list too. There is a guy on the HMX trails channel that seems to like them, im thinking whatever i can get the best deal on between the two. these M1's have a bigger/taller lug than the terra hooks do and i think that might make it a better option for me.

I know there are some people out there that talk pretty highly of them but I'm not a fan of the tread depth. It's only 0.75in! Otherwise they seem affordable and it's another DOT approved tire!

Yeah the ITPs are much cheaper on the places I've seen them!
