Installing the front crankshaft seal and harmonic balancer. Also installing the accessory mounting brackets. Remember to install the AC compressor mounting bracket first!
Hello friendly i did the mistakes by deassembling. the damper and now when im on TDC the 45degree does not align with arrow, is there anyway i could fix that? And also i got my engine back in the car and it doesn’t want to start i got fuel, sprak and timing on point
When you're on TDC the timing mark should be pointing at the center timing mark on the harmonic balancer. At 45 degrees BTDC cylinder 1 the holes to pin the camshaft gears should line up with the camshaft bearing caps closest to the camshaft gears. Don't forget air. You need air, fuel, and spark for the engine to run. How much fuel are you getting? If too much fuel is being injected, it could keep it from running also. That would have to be fairly extreme though across most or all cylinders though. Not enough fuel also. Incorrect spark plug gap would cause a no-start issue as well. If the crankshaft position sensor were bad, that would cause it not to start as well. Although, I think in that situation you would not have spark. If you have all 4 air, fuel, spark, and timing, the engine should run. I would double check and make sure everything is within spec.
I have research that seal installing tool with the part number you give me ,I can not find it anywhere ,and no MB dealer as it ,,,can you send me more information on that crankshaft sell installer please ?
