The high frame rate isn’t unique to the M4, but because of the new processor and heat management on this device, Ive found it to actually hit those high frame rates on a consistent basis with no drop in performance
I can't tell the difference between this and my snapdragon 870 other than a few hiccups, that's insane. Hoping they release software that can utilize that kind of power, or for games to release a new tier of graphics
I bought the same iPad, but I'm afraid that the battery is consuming more than usual. Can you share which version of ios you use and how much battery you lose in 10 minutes playing on max settings in WuWa/Genshin please? There aren't many battery comparisons yet when it comes to gaming..
Currently running 17.5.1, and I personally haven’t noticed any crazy consumption happening. Esp compared to my m2 iPad Pro, I feel like this one sips battery life even better than the previous gen, and remains cooler too.
Not sure whats up with optimization but I have the exact same settings everything maxed out 60fps high advanced high and ultra, ipad m2 pro, and the load is half of the M4's....doesn't make sense. Im at three load bars...runs flawlessly, granted the mobile version still looks like ass compared to PC.
As of recording and this comment, wuthering waves doesn’t have controller support, which is why it’s the only game I was playing with touch controls. I hope they fix this soon.

Even the m2 iPad Pro/Air completely demolishes this game. Go for the m2 iPad Pro/Air if you want an iPad to play games. But if u really do like the m4 iPad Pro and plan to use more heavy workloads go for it.
As I am not a developer, I don’t have access to Developer settings, and as I am not the creator or have these games on flighttest, I do not have the ability to show the Metal HUD. Trust me, I’ve tried. If you know of a way for future videos, I’d love to hear it! Thanks
On the m4 iPad Pro I’ve found battery consumption is pretty great while gaming. Definitely better than my m2 iPad Pro. Obviously gaming is one of the bigger battery drainers, but I never felt like it’s been sapping it fast. More often than not I’m shocked at how the battery trickles down so slowly
Not in my experience. I played it for quite a while on launch day, and I don’t think max settings even breaks a sweat on the iPad. the fact that its running at a lower resolution and half the frame rate of Genshin with a lot less detail, and Genshin is running at max settings and 120fps and still not affecting the iPad in any way. I’m really hoping Wuthering Waves really needs to get 120FPS, way more detail, and controller support! But no. To answer your question, max settings doesnt even come close to overheating on this iPad.
