M44 Mosin-Nagant Carbine restore and demonstration 

I have had my M44 for over 12 years. Love that rifle! Very accurate and fun to shoot. Nice restoration on a very underrated rifle.

Your sling is on upside down and the sights are measured in metres, not yards.

Nice rifle, but the battle of Stalingrad was over by the end of February 1943. The M44 didn't see wide service until 1944.

Great video- I loved my 1946-dated M44 (victim of my divorce). I still have an M38, 1941 dated. Minor correction, While there were a very very few M44's made in 1943 (approx 50,000 trials rifles), they weren't widely issued until 1944. The Battle of Stalingrad took place Aug 23, 1942 thru Feb 2, 1943- too early for M44's to be used during that battle.
